11 Reasons Why Your Sister Is Your Best Friend
Brianna Rae

1. She is always there

You never need to wait for a friend to make time for you when all you have to do is go home and find your sister.

2. Having the best bang for your buck

You find yourself not spending as much money as other people on clothes because you just steal half of her wardrobe anyways. (Also, what's asking? Just take it and wear it, take it and wear it.)

P.S. this isn't always true given that my sister is also my frequent shopping partner.

3. She is a free therapist

You can have at home rant sessions with someone you trust and not have to spend a penny.

4. She keeps you in check

Whether it's to tell you that your outfit is ugly, your boyfriend isn't right for you, or you're being a selfish, your sister will give it to you straight up.

5. You always have a shoulder to cry on

Everyone's a little broken and a sister is a source of hope as someone that will tell you it's all going to be okay.

6. She is your life long partner in crime

You have a side kick any time, any day. From mischievous childhood adventures to your maid of honor at your wedding to the person keeping you sane in the delivery room.

7. Whenever you start singing it instantly becomes a duet

She's the one person that won't judge your horrendous voice, she'll just sing along right beside you.

8. No one else knows you better

From your bad habits to your weird fetishes to your dirty secrets, no one knows it all but her.

9. She is the first person you want to tell anything to

She is the main reason you're excited to go home at the end of the day because you can't wait to tell her everything that happened.

10. You complain about her but you wouldn't trade her for the world

Constantly saying "Ugh my sister is so annoying" but knowing you couldn't live without her.

11. She is the one person that will never leave

No matter what boyfriend dumps you or what friend betrays you, a sister will make sure you know that you will never be alone.

Through my personal experience with having a sister, I have had the privilege of growing up day by day with my favorite human. With her by my side I have lived through every tear, every smile, every adventure, and every heartbreak. No relationship or friendship is perfect and although we have our flaws and drive each other to the edge sometimes, I wouldn't be me without her. To those of you with sisters, I hope you can relate to this and if you can't then I hope it pushes you to put forth an effort to create a stronger bond with her. I truly believe that a sister is your God given best friend. And to my dearest Kalli, thank you for doing life with me. Much love.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.
