11 Reasons Why I Trust In God

Many people today either do not believe in God, have been pushed away, or church hurt them so much that they turned away from God. Though many people may not believe in God I put all my trust in him. It is hard living in a world where you can barely relate to people on a religious level because you are scared that you will offend them. Evenhough that may not be okay we still have to respect it. With all that being said here are a few reasons why I put all my trust in God, and no one can shake it.

1. He saved my life!

Whether many of you believe it or not God saved my life. God saved me from myself and I am grateful for that.

2. He keeps proving himself to me everyday!

Everyday I wake up is a gift from God. I am a 19 year old girl who has sickle cell disease and have never suffered a crisis nor have I ever needed to be hospitalize for my sickle cell needed a blood transfusion. There are people with my disease who cannot walk or talk yet here I am healthier than most people.

3. He is my comforter!

I trust God because he is my comforter. When I am sad or when I am in need of a friend He comforts me and he never leaves me nor forsakes me even when I do not deserve it.

4. He chose me!

God chose me out of all the people in the world to be a servant for him. I feel so honored to be chosen by God.

5. He fights for me!

God protects me everyday of my life from dangers seen and unseen.

6) He is always there!

God has never once turned his back on me even when others have. Even when I feel like he is not there He shows me that He is always present.

7. He loves me!

Everyday though His word and through the people in my life God shows that He loves me even when I am not worthy of His love.

8. He guides me!

I put my trust in Him because He knows the plans He has for my life, and He guides me to get where I am going everyday.

9. He is forgiving!

He has mercy on my life even when I do not deserve it, and His grace is sufficient enough to wipe away my sins as though they never existed.

10. He is the bread of life!

God provides for all of my needs, and even some of my wants. I am never hungry or thirsty with him in my life. I also find rest in him.

11. His son died for me!

Lastly I put my trust in God because He sent His only son to die for me because of my sins. Not only did He die but He rose again.

These are just a few reasons why I trust in God. I trust in Him because he shows up in my life everyday, and without him I am nothing. I Hope that this will help to minister to someone, and bring them to Christ and Happy Easter!

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
