It feels like the worst thing in the world when you're in college and have to wake up. What's even worse? Having to go to school when it's snowing outside. Let us have a snowy day off, please. Here a few valid reasons to cancel the next time.

1. Nobody knows how to drive when you're just trying to get to class.

It's like everyone forgets how to drive and goes 15 miles under the speed limit. Then, we get traffic and everyone is late to class and you already don't want to go.

2. It's even harder to get up for that early class because it's so dreary outside.

It still looks like nighttime... and it's cold. Obviously, I should go back to sleep then.

3. You swore they were going to cancel school, but instead they hit you with only a 2-hour delay so you're bummed.

But I even did that thing from when I was a kid like flush an ice cube down the toilet and wear my PJ's backward. Ugh.

4. You didn't do the homework or assignments from last night because you thought you wouldn't have school.

Well, crap. You can't even BS an assignment when you go to a university.

5. You made a plan of how your snow day was going to go.

Whether it was to stay inside where it's warm and just watch TV and drink hot cocoa or go outside with your friends. It's disappointing either way and ruins plans.

6. You're reminded by your younger siblings how much high school was canceled when it snowed and you just want to go back to the good ol' days.

Hey, our school-work is more difficult, we should be the ones getting the day off, not you.

7. You have to go scrap off any snow or ice on your car which might make you late to class.

You're in 7 layers trying to keep warm while you're taking snow off your car going to a class that you're not very amused with in the first place.

8. When you are late to class because of weather conditions, professors do not care about your well-being.

They may or may not take off points depending on your professor, your class, their syllabus, and how strict they are on attendance. It's nice to feel loved.

9. You could've used a day off, especially because everyone is getting sick this time of year.

It feels like you've won the Olympics if you don't get sick this time of year.

10. You pretty much just space out during class because of the weather. Then, the professor decides to call on you for an answer.

Let the odds be in your favor of answering the question correctly.

11. All you want at the end of a crappy day like this is to relax, but surprise, they assign you more homework.

Really?! You're going to make us go to class and have homework when all we want to do is relax, be lazy, and sleep. C'mon.

These are all common adult things we have to deal with when going to work. So, do us this favor, and give us one more snow day to feel like a kid again and have no work before we have to go out into the "real-world."

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Recently I completed my freshman year of college, and boy, what an experience. It was a completely new learning environment and I can't believe how much I learned. In an effort to save time, here are the ten biggest lessons I learned from my first year of college.

1. Everyone is in the same boat

For me, the scariest part of starting school was that I was alone, that I wouldn't be able to make any friends and that I would stick out. Despite being told time and time again that everyone had these same feelings, it didn't really click until the first day when I saw all the other freshman looking as uneasy and uncomfortable as me. Therefore, I cannot stress this enough, everyone is feeling as nervous as you.
