When people ask me who the most important person in the world to me is, there is no one else who pops into my head other than my mother. I think I speak for most people when I say that moms’ rock. Without mothers, most of us would be eternally lost in this strange, scary world. We all love our mothers unconditionally, no matter how much we butt heads with them. Now, I’m not taking anything away from Dads, but Mom is always the one who just… gets it. Here’s 11 reasons why Moms are super important and should be more appreciated.

1. Mom is basically superwoman on steroids.

Standing O for all moms. Cooking, cleaning, working, comforting: name it, mom does it.

2. Mom always hooks it up.

Moms get it if you need just a little pick me up... especially if its pizza and she's not tryna cook tonight.

3. She knows everything about you; which is a blessing yet a curse.

Mom knows just how to cheer you up, but will also tell your friends your most embarrassing quirks. And you still love her, regardless.

4. She's the one person you can smother without her ever leaving you.

Though she may get annoyed if you text her 15 times in a row, Mom will always be there to smother with love or to bother for fun (just kidding, but not really).

5. Though she may be small, she can fend off any one.

No one will ever mess with your mom. She may seem nice, but if you cross her or her kids, you better watch yo back.

6. She's the best person to play a prank on.

Yeah, she might be mad for a minute, but she'll always bounce back. Plus, what else are me and my siblings gonna do?

7. She always gives the best gifts, no matter what occasion.

Birthdays, Christmas, even Valentine's day. Mom's got the plug for every special occasion.

8. Mom gives the best hugs.

Whether you're having a bad day or mom just wants to show some love, she always gives the best hugs. Always.

9. She's always there if you need a shoulder to cry on.

Mom is always there for you, through thick and thin. If someone's being an a**hole or you just need to cry, she's there no matter what.

10. She's always there to save your butt, regardless.

With every close call, mom's right there to save you again and again. Mom is always there when you look back.

11. Although sometimes Mom is a pain in the butt, at the end of the day, she's our very best friend.

We can pretend that Mom isn't the most amazing person alive, but when it comes down to it, we would never survive without her.

12. If plans change while you’re out, you better text or call.

13. Don’t talk back. Ever.

14. When you’re called by your full name, you’re in deep trouble.

15. Don’t make them call your name twice.

17. Despite all of these things, you know your parents love you.

2. You’re constantly using the excuse, “I’m just tired” when people ask you if you’re mad.

3. Or “I’m just thinking.”

4. In fact, you’re rarely ever actually mad.

5. But when you are, people usually can’t tell.

6. You find other people with RBF’s and have to convince yourself that you don’t look like them.

7. You constantly remind yourself, “At least I’m not a psycho.”
