1. They will go on any kind of adventure with you. Whenever. Wherever. However.

Cliff-diving, country-hopping, sewer exploration, pool break-ins...Let’s be real -- most everyone else is too boring for all the things you really want to do, right?

2. They will always be straightforward with you. No buts.

Us girls over-complicate everything. The guys won’t.

3. They can beat morons up for you. Or stalk them. Or yell at them. Or pretend to be you but as transsexual on the phone to scare a creepy guy away.

(Don’t ask.)

4. They know who you’ve always been (for better or for worse), and they will fight for that you.

They know all your pipe-dreams, your awkward phases, your goofy sayings... and there’s nothing you can do about it. But they love it.

5.You can be utterly gruesome around them and they don’t care. At all. (Even when they probably should.)

You can burp. Or fart. Or do any obscene thing you can possibly think of. They’ll be right there with you.

6. Being real with your brothers is as real as it gets.

You don’t have to pretend to be anybody or anything. They already know you, and that’s the only you they’ll put up with. So get over it and be real, man!

7. Dare them to do anything at all, and they’ll do it. (It’s hilarious.)

Only maybe don’t make them trespass in the neighbor’s yard too much... they might get chased down...

8. They will support your rebellious side.

And you’ll both have a ton of fun going with it!

9. They will protect you from yourself.

You’re having one of those days where you can’t help but beat yourself to a pulp? Your brothers will fight you on it.

10. They love to have fun and be in the moment with you.

All of my best memories are with my brothers. The guys know how to have fun anywhere, at any time. And you don’t even have to ask.

11. They don’t care why they make you laugh. Or how. They just do it, and they keep doing it.

...Just for a reason to smile with you.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Blair Waldorf
Stop Hollywood

For those of you who have watched "Gossip Girl" before (and maybe more than just once), you know how important of a character Blair Waldorf is. Without Blair, the show doesn’t have any substance, scheme, or drama. Although the beginning of the show started off with Blair’s best friend Serena returning from boarding school, there just simply is no plot without Blair. With that being said, Blair’s presence in the show in much more complex than that. Her independent and go-getter ways have set an example for "Gossip Girl" fans since the show started and has not ended even years after the show ended. Blair never needed another person to define who she was and she certainly didn’t need a man to do that for her. When she envisioned a goal, she sought after it, and took it. This is why Blair’s demeanor encompasses strong women like her.

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
