11 Reasons Why We Love Cam Newton

Right now, Cam Newton is a common household name and a crowd favorite in the NFL. He’s a freakishly amazing athlete, phenomenal quarterback, and a class act all the time. These qualities are small components of what makes Cam Newton so great, but here are just a couple of reasons why we love him so much.

1. Whenever he gets a touchdown, he gives the ball to a child in the stands

It's always so great when athletes are able to connect with their fans and do things that will leave a lasting and memorable impression on them. Cam Newton giving a child a football after he scores a touchdown makes this kid not only feel special but strengthen his allegiance and support for him as a player.

2. His outfits are always on point

I think that this one really speaks for itself.

3. He Led Auburn to a National Championship in the 2010-2011 season

This was an amazing end to his collegiate football career and shows what an integral component and member he was to the team.

4. He led the nation with 50 total touchdowns during the 2010-2011 season

This just shows how much of a beast he is.

5. He was the first SEC player to pass for 2,000 yards and rush for 1,000 yards in a season

Again, this stresses how much of a phenomenal athlete and player Cam Newton is.

6. He is a Heisman trophy winner

7. In his professional football career, he led the Carolina Panthers to an almost perfect regular season, except for their single loss to the Falcons

They had a tremendous run while it lasted.

8. Was NFL Rookie of the Year in 2011

He just shattered numerous amounts of NFL records and proved that he was here to stay and to make a statement.

9. First quarterback in NFL history to throw for 30 touchdowns and rush for 10 in the same season

He's just so good at what he does.

10. Great touchdown dance

This is one of the more lighthearted parts about football, where the athletes are really able to show their personalities through their touchdown dances.

11. Gives back to the community through his foundation, the Cam Newton Foundation

This just shows that there's more to him than just football. He truly wants to make a difference in the community where he's from as well as where he now plays professionally. There are three main categories that go into the foundation, Every1 Learns, Every1 Plays and Every1 Gives which really encompass a wide variety of needs including athletic and academic programs, community outreach, and charitable give back programs.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
