I'd like you to meet my pet fish, Louie.

He likes his purple tree, his flake food and his gem stone rocks. He's pretty awesome and has brought some extra happiness to my life ever since I brought him home.

If you're already a fish owner, you know just how awesome having a fish can be. And if you're not, the following eleven reasons will surely inspire you to get one!

1. Your fish will always keep you company.

What's better than coming home after a long day to your little fish swimming effortlessly around it's bowl.

2. Your fish will teach you how to be a responsible pet owner.

Taking the time to feed your fish, clean it's bowl and give it attention will make you a good pet owner and teach you responsibility.

3. Your fish will always be the life of the party.

Not only will you be filled with joy whenever your fish moves it's little fins but so will your guests. They will soon be making regular visits to visit your fish. It will swim it's way into their hearts.

4. You can deck out your fishes bowl or tank.

You can add cool plants, statues, rocks of many colors, gem stones and little even lights to give it a little ambiance and to make your fishes home as awesome and comfortable as possible.

5. You can give your fish a super cool name.

Like Todd or Mildred.

6. Your fish will quickly become a part of the family.

Soon your fish will have your entire family taking care of it and loving it.

7. You will inspire your friends to get a fish of their own.

Soon you and your friends will have play dates with your fish children.

8. Your fish will always be cool, calm and collected.

What's better than having a pet that's super chill? Fish don't ask for much. They are simple creatures.

9. Your fish will have a great personality.

They will never make a fuss or make a mess (at least not as much of a mess as other pets). They are always peaceful.

10. Your fish will always cheer you up.

Your fish will know just what to do when you're not feeling well. They know when to bring on the charm to make you smile.

11. Your fish will love you unconditionally.

They will need you as much as you need them. The more you pay attention to them and take care of them the happier and healthier they will be.

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.

Growing up I have always wanted to own a horse. My grandparents own a well known equestrian facility in Georgia, so I have been riding since I was born. A bond between a person and their horse is a bond so strong that it cannot be broken. Everywhere I went I wanted to be around horses, even forcing my family to go on trail rides during vacations. Horses have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember has taught me great responsibility, as well as 14 things that all equestrians can relate to.

College is super hard. Between working, studying, and having a social life, it feels like a struggle to just keep afloat.

I understand. When you feel like your drowning and there's no way to stay afloat I understand that it feels like everyone else is doing just fine. I understand all the frustration, long nights in the library, and that feeling that you want to just throw in the towel. I understand that sometimes it's too hard to get out of bed because your brain is already filled with too much information to remember. I understand because I am also feeling pretty burnt out.

No Matter How Challenging School Gets, You Have To Put Your Health First — A Degree Won't Mean Anything If You're Dead

Some of the best advice I've ever received was from my social studies teacher in sophomore year of high school. He stated, "If you don't know it at midnight, you're not going to know it for the 8 a.m. exam, so get some sleep."

It's such a simple piece of advice, but it holds so much accuracy and it's something that the majority of college students need to hear and listen to. "All-nighters" are a commonality on college campuses in order to cram in studying for an exam that is typically the next day.
