If you're like me, you went into college "thinking" you knew exactly what you wanted to do. Personally, I thought I wanted to be a doctor, but low and behold, thats definitely NOT what I want to do with my life at this point. Choosing a major is hard. I mean, it's ONLY the rest of your career/life resting in your hands, right? But sometimes, not choosing your major right away is the way to go, and heres why.

1. You get those pesky gen. eds. out of the way!

2. You have more time to actually figure out, what you want to major in

3. It gives you time to build up a strong GPA

4. You can explore more areas of study

5. You'll broaden your skill set, via multiple areas of study

6. Less classes to take at a time, less stress

7. You'll likely change your major anyways, so why not just wait to decide

10. It gives you time to decide if you even REALLY want to be in college

11. When you finally DO decide what you want to do, it'll be the greatest feeling

The first two weeks of classes have come to an end and they have been anything BUT easy. It seems like life has been serving up more bad than good and in all honesty, the only thing you want to do is crawl under your covers and hide from the rest of the world.

Although this seems like the best solution, it is also the easy way out. Take it from the girl who took basically a whole week off from her life because she just could not handle everything that was being thrown at her. This caused her to feel extremely lonely and even more stressed out for being behind in classes that JUST began.
