11 Reasons Why Beyoncé Is Queen

Beyoncé is one of those people that just has automatic "cool" factor. She can sing, act and dance (exceptionally well at that), and ever since her humble beginnings with Destiny’s Child has been a staple of American pop culture. She possesses an overwhelming amount of swag and has the voice of an absolute angel. Her actions, lifestyle and the way that she comports herself are idolized and even sometimes, envied by a lot of people. Day in and day out, she proves just how much of a queen she truly is. Here are 11 reasons why Beyoncé is so amazing and arguably the queen of pop culture.

1. Her and Jay-Z are the ultimate power couple

Every strong queen needs an equally strong king by her side and Jay-Z fits into that role perfectly.

2. She named her daughter "Blue Ivy" and got away with it

3. She has a flawless voice

4. She's a triple threat

5. Coined the term "Pretty Hurts"

Even though this song that she wrote is incredibly catchy and great to listen to, it has a much deeper meaning and taps into a lot of deep-seeded issues within our nation. So, thank you Beyoncé for taking a risk and opening our eyes to much bigger issues at hand.

6. She performed at the Super Bowl twice

Beyonce had the privilege of performing at the Super Bowl in 2013 and 2016. You go girl!

7. Her and Jay-Z own an Island

Beyoncé received this island for her 29th birthday. That's a pretty awesome gift if you ask me.

8. Her outfits are ALWAYS on point

9. She performed for President Obama and they're basically best friends

10. You never hear anything bad about Beyoncé in the media

You rarely hear anything negative about Beyoncé in the media except for the lame rumors about her and Jay-Z getting divorced (which are totally fake and wrong).

11. She dropped her last name—it doesn't get much cooler than that.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major.
