11 Reasons To Love The Wildwoods
Wildwood

If you've never been to the Wildwoods found in South New Jersey, you have no idea what you're missing.

1. The beaches: obviously this is probably the best part. With 5 miles of free beaches with plenty of waves and space, what is there not to love?!

2. Dolphins: whether you're relaxing on the beach or on a dolphin watch, you're sure to see either dolphin fins or even them playing in the water!

3. The boardwalk: a two and a half mile long boardwalk with shops, restaurants, and rides; there really is something for everyone. Watch the tramcar please.

4. Morey's Piers: with three piers with a variety of rides, there is a ride for everyone in the family no matter the age!

5. Plenty of sweets: the boardwalk is home to tons of different sweet shops for the classic candy, fudge, and of course salt water taffy. Personally my favorite is Douglass Fudge and Jame's Saltwater Taffy!

6. Biking: with plenty of places to rent bikes, biking is the perfect activity before the beach! Take a ride on the boardwalk or along the Wildwood Crest sidewalk.

7. Surfing: with sections on the beach specifically surfing, wavey waters, and surfboard rentals, the wildwoods are the perfect destination to surf!

8. Water parks: there's three different water parks with different slides for the whole family! From speed slides to multi person tube slides, there's a slide waiting for you!

9. Mini golf: wildwood recently added mini golf right off the boardwalk perfect for the entire family.

10. Doo-wop architecture: the Wildwoods are famous for their neon signs for their motels. Take a ride in Wildwood Crest at night to see!

11. Arcades: spend time with the family at one of the many arcades from skee-ball to crane games to video poker there's a game, tickets, and prizes waiting for you!

Take a trip to the wildwoods this summer to experience all the fun! You don't know what you're missing out on!

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
