11 Reasons Why I'd Rather Be A Southern Belle Than A City Walker

Everyone always says living in a city sounds fun, but they must have never lived in the city. It is the little things that small town folks don't realize that someone from the city appreciates more than you will ever know.

1. It doesn't take you 30 minutes to get two miles down the road.


2. People are actually nice to you in public.

3. Cowboy boots are normal.


4. You get to know everyone.


5. You don't have to worry about matching your outfit and someone judging you for it.


6. Everyone speaks the same language...(for the most part)


7. Camping is possible.


8. Stars actually exists in the sky.


9. Waking up to not hearing horns is a thing.


10. There isn't a stop-light every two steps.


11. Dirt roads are just as common as paved roads.


12. You appreciate it more because almost no one knows this place exists.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here. Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.
