As sophomores, you think you know exactly how your second year will go, which, unfortunately, is false. There are so many more complications, such as balancing your GPA, a job, social life and sleep. Many people also go through what some call the sophomore slump (hi, that's me). Enough about that, here are reasons you should be proud of yourself for pulling through it all.
1. First off, you met the required GPA at the end of the year. Many people don't even come back their sophomore year, so good for you!
2. Speaking of the "sophomore slump," you pulled yourself out of it! That can be difficult, so just sit back, relax and watch Netflix (if you don't have Netflix, sitting back and relaxing is acceptable).
3. You dealt with some crazy people, including staff and faculty members. Not everyone has the patience for them, but you did!
4. You opened up yourself to new people and ideas. Good for you!
5. If you're like me, you did not want everyone to pack up and go. However, you did! Maybe with some neglect of your own emotions, but you did, and that's what counts.
6. You accepted the fact that people thought you were anything but a sophomore, but you still got annoyed, and that's OK.
7. You were a mentor to someone, meaning you helped guide them along their freshman year through toils and troubles, because you know how difficult it can be.
8. You made even more of a powerful impact on campus, no matter if you think you did or not, trust me you did. Whether that was in a club or with a professor, you made an impact.
9. You're two years away from graduating... let that sink in.
10. You studied way more than freshman year, mostly because of that one bad experience you had in a class.
11. You made it through your second year of college! You go Glenn Coco!
