11 Reasons Why You Should Visit The Field of Sunflowers

Every one in the Baltimore area has probably been to the Jarretsville Pike area once or multiple times already. Why, you may ask? Because of the sunflowers, of course! You see, there is a huge field of sunflowers and it's just astonishingly breathtaking. Here are multiple reasons why you should go:

1. First off, it's so beautiful!

Once you park and step out, the sight is so amazing. It's just a huge field filled with millions of sunflowers.

2. You can take so many pictures there.

Every one literally has a photoshoot there. So if you love taking pictures, this place is for you!

3. It has a warm and happy atmosphere.

Yellow just makes everything so bright and happy. If you've been feeling down lately, I'd suggest you go there.

4. If you're a bee lover, then you'll love it there even more.

Some sunflowers would have a bee or multiple bees on it and they were really cute! They just sat in their little place and chilled.

5. If you hate bees, don't worry!

They don't really fly around you or bother you at all, even if you accidentally hit them, they won't really be bothered at all.

6. You get a good deal if you want to bring some home.

It's only $1 for one sunflower. So, if you got a special lady or man at home who loves sunflowers, this is the perfect place.

7. There's a lot of space.

The only thing that crowds the area are the sunflowers. Every one just tends to spread out everywhere and do their own thing, so you don't have to worry about photobombing someone's Instagram picture or Snapchat.

8. You get in touch with your nature side.

You just seem to bond with Mother Nature. Just imagine, you're surrounded by flowers, have fresh air and feel slight breezes.

9. It's the perfect place to bond with family or friends.

While you all take pictures together or go walking around, it makes for a good memory if your Uncle Bob is scared of bees or if your best friend constantly keeps sneezing because of her allergies.

10. It's also the perfect place to go on a date.

*Wink wink*

11. You'll have fun!

You honestly will. Even though right now isn't exactly the perfect weather to go, but hey, you could still go if you want. Just keep Clear Meadow Farms in mind for next year.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
