Seattle has enriched my life and taught me so many things I am so grateful to have learned. I am so in love with this city I get to call home and hope everyone reading this gets a chance to experience Seattle and the millions of experiences it has to offer. Seattle really is the most amazing place.

Living by the Sound has its perks

Whether you are looking at the water from the top of the Ferris Wheel or splashing around in it at Alki Beach, it is amazingly beautiful. Even taking a day trip on the Ferries to the different islands in the Puget Sound is something you can do during a sunny Seattle day.

Best seafood on the west coast

Our seafood is always fresh and you can find the most delicious and fresh fish and other types of seafood at Pike Place Market.

Downtown is so full of history and modernity

Whether you are at the first ever Starbucks in Pike Place or sitting at the new modern restaurants being built in downtown Seattle, there is always so much history. Every street you turn on has a little bit of history tied to it, no matter how new and modern it might seem.

Who in Seattle isn’t a fan of Seattle Sports?

Seahawks, Sounders, and Mariners. Who in Seattle isn't a die hard fan of each of these? These sports seasons bring a lot of passion into Seattle and us Seattleites would not be the same without them.

Seattle is beautiful in the sun and the rain

Standing on the top floor of one of Seattle's tallest buildings, rain or shine, Seattle will always look breathtaking. With views of so many different places and things, it looks beautiful no matter the weather.

Views on views

Space Needle, sunsets from the Ferris Wheel, Mount Rainier, the Puget Sound and much more are such amazing views that Seattle has to offer. This is only a very short list of the amazing things you can see while you are in Seattle.

Seattle nightlife

No matter if you're in the heart of downtown, on Capital Hill, or walking on the pier, it is always fun to walk around Seattle at night with friends and experience the nightlife. There are so many things you can see and do.

Hole-in-the-wall restaurants

When I come home from school for holidays, I have to go to my favorite hole-in-the-wall restaurants. They are everywhere. Whether it's the Cafes on the street or even Dick's Drive-In, I have to make sure I make it there while I am home.

Intense seasons

In the fall, expect rain and cold weather. In the winter expect some snow. In the spring expect some occasional showers but the weather progressively gets better. Lastly, in the summer expect the heat. Seattle has the most amazing seasons and we are lucky we get to experience them all so intensely.

Shopping experiences

Shopping in downtown Seattle is a must if you are there visiting, or even if you are a local. Walking down the streets of downtown Seattle, or Pioneer Square, is something everyone needs to experience. You can take a quick break from shopping and walk down to the water, or Pike Place Market for fresh seafood, produce, bouquets of flowers, or handmade arts and crafts from different local vendors.

My roots

The last but most important reason Seattle will always have my heart is because of my hometown roots. I was born and raised in Seattle and almost every single one of my family members is here with me. I could not imagine living and growing up anywhere else. Seattle will always have my heart.

Blair Waldorf

The "Gossip Girl" series may be over, but Blair Waldorf's iconic character lives in our hearts forever. Blair was the queen of the Upper East Side, and a character you either loved or hated. She taught us everything we needed to know about life, love and of course, how to score a Chuck Bass. So the next time you feel a bit lost and are in need of guidance, look no further than to the Queen B herself.

As I spend my Sunday avoiding my homework and other adult responsibilities, I realized that I've watched this series over and over about a million times. Sadly, there isn't a Blair quote I don't know, so I came up with a list of a few favorites. You know you love her...xoxo

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.
