11 Reasons My Mother Is My Best Friend

As I matured, I understood why daughters considered their mothers their best friend. The love between a mother and a daughter is like no other; it is forever.

Mommy, if you're reading this, I want you to know how important you are to me. I know sometimes we argue over the smallest little things, but we always seem to find a way to move past it. There is nothing in this world that could tear us apart. I love you with all of my heart. You truly are the most important person in my life.

1. She is my number 1 fan.

She has always been supportive of everything I do. All the way back to when I used to play softball as a kid, which mainly resulted in me picking grass in the outfield, she would be cheering me on from the stands.

2. She takes care of me.

She is the first person I want to call when I am sick. Mommy knows best.

3. She's smart.

I mean, where else do you think I get it from?

4. She's a trooper.

I know it must have been exhausting having to put up with me all those years, but you did it!

5. She gives the best hugs.

There is nothing like the hug from a mother. No matter what I am going through, a hug from my mom will cure everything.

6. She motivates me.

You make me want to be a better person and you never stop pushing me to do my best.

7. She has made me tougher.

All of those times you have told me that if I am not bleeding, a bone isn't hanging out, or I am not dying then I'm okay really paid off. Thanks mom.

8. She's not a regular mom.

She's a cool mom. I don't mind hangout out with her because she is fun to be around.

9. She's my support system.

When you mess with me you are also messing with her. She will stand by me through anything.

10. She's beautiful.

My mom is beautiful inside and out. She has the warmest heart. It is a compliment when I am told that I look like my mother.

11. She loves me.

She loves me no matter what and she is proud to call me her daughter. My mom is my hero. By the end of reading this article she will probably be crying because I made her so happy. I love you mom.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
