We all have that one store that we cannot live without. You know, the store that you walk into and leave with what feels like the entire store stuffed into your shopping bags. Target is that place for me. Most of the time I go in looking for one or two things, but end up leaving with much more than I bargained for. The simplest reason I can give is that they have anything and everything you could ever be looking for.

1. You name it, Target has it

Fresh food, clothes, shoes, accessories and so much more.

2. College necessities

If you have been to Target recently and have seen the things they have for college living, you'd probably think a Target store is hiding in my closet. Their products are all made from great, high quality materials and are relatively inexpensive as well. All of which are things a poor college student is looking for!

3. School supplies

Who doesn't love to shop in Target's school supply section? They have all of the things you might need to tackle the upcoming school year at a low cost.

4. Electronics

TVs, computers, video games or the newest Apple products. Target is here to be your one stop shop for all the electronics you could ever want.

5. Starbucks

Fantastic coffee with a side of shopping. Need I say more?

6. Optical department

Get your eyes checked by wonderful optometrists and shop when you’re finished!

7. Self-check out

To make it even easier on their guests, Target has recently added self-check outs to their stores to make your experience shopping with them as easy as possible.

8. Simplicity of returns

As long as you bring your receipt with you when you want to return an item or receive money back on an item you recently purchased that has now gone on special, you should not have any problems. It has always been hassle-free task for me.

9. Buy online, pick up in store

Whether you don't have time to shop in store for the item you are looking for or it is a last minute gift, Target's easy order online, in-store order pick up is a fantastic amenity to offer to their customers!

10. The seasonal department

You know, it's that one part of the store that changes depending on what time of year it is. It is always full and filled with the newest decorations to have in your home for the upcoming season.

11. Just a short drive away

Kudos to Target for always being within a close distance to where I live. I have never had to drive longer than 30 minutes to visit a Target and that is probably my absolute favorite thing about them. Thanks Target for being my home away from home and never disappointing me with your amenities and products!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
