Over the past year the personal trainer, Kayla Itsines, has become increasingly popular for her intense Bikini Body Guide. This guide gives you 12 weeks of exhausting muscle building workouts. These workouts may cause a little crying, but at the end of your 12-week guide you will be able to see why doing all of Kayla's burpees and jump squats will pay off.
1. Entering the gym.
Casually give the worker at the front desk a wink to let him know you think he's cute, but right now you have a more important task to take care of.
2. Start your music and your timer.
About to blast my eardrums out listening to Justin Bieber's new album to make sure I can't hear myself panting for air.
3. The first five minutes of BBG.
Woo! Look at me go, I am totally feeling that burn. I hope I'm doing this right because it definitely hurts. My abs will surely be here soon.
4. Done--With round one.
This wasn't as bad as I remembered from last week. I could lift these weights for hours.
5. Lay down push ups?
I see what you're trying to do to me Kayla. Trying to trick me into giving myself a little break every time I touch the ground? I'm not falling for it this time!
6. X jumps?
Well, now I am really just going to have to make a fool out of myself. I have no idea what I am supposed to be doing, so I'm just going to act like I've made up my own workout for this one.
7. Look at that, I forgot my sweat towel. Again.
Good thing the paper towels are right near me. I'll just stuff my shirt with those to absorb all of my boob sweat. Or maybe while I have 11 seconds left of what Kayla calls a "break", I'll go stand by that fan.
8. Did I just repeat the wrong round?
I definitely just did round one again instead of my last round two. Should I do round two even though I kind of already did all four rounds? But then I'll probably feel guilty--and the Kayla God's will hate me.
9. Two words, jump squats.
Kayla, I have already done so many lunges. Why must you make me squat and jump at the same time. Maybe if I do these squats, guys will pay attention to me more. Okay, I'll do them.
10. 30 Seconds left!
Oh no, I could never do this for hours.
11. Why can't I be like her?
I just don't understand how she can look so good after doing 30 burpees. I can't even stand to look at myself in my rear-view mirror. She must not be doing it right.
12. Time to eat--Healthy.
Since Kayla is so amazing, she includes healthy recipes in her guides. I will now be spending an additional $30 at Stop & Shop and will attempt to cook for myself, so I can feel healthy.
