Your hometown is a place you have to leave to appreciate. With break coming to an end, you quickly realize how long it will be until you're back. It suddenly hits you; the things you will miss the most about this place you call home.

1. Avanti's Ranch Dressing

We have all been guilty of dipping almost everything in it when we're there.

2. Pub Wednesday

Cheap fun. Some of the best nights are Wednesday nights.

3. State Farm Park

The greatest perk of living in Bloomington-Normal during the summertime. The lazy river is the main attraction.

4. Downtown Bloomington

One of the oldest, prettiest areas in our town. It has many local shops and a cute coffeehouse. Also hosts the farmers market every year!

5. Rosie's Pub

You have to try their creme brûlée.

6. Carl's Ice Cream

The only ice cream shop in town where you can get eyeballs on your ice cream.

7. Illinois State University

The place that made you want to go to a big school just like it. It allowed for a lot of entertainment from football games to the Gamma Phi circus.

8. Uptown Normal

One of the best places in town. There are so many things to do all year.

9. Fairview

The place to be for fireworks on the fourth.

10. Pub II Cheese Curds

If you haven't had them, you're not a true townie.

11. The people

They will be some of the greatest people you will ever meet.
