Jimmy Fallon is the biggest host in late night TV. Fallon always keeps his work fresh, current, and interesting. He has a plethora of famous guests every week and can get any one of those guests to do anything he wants. "The Tonight Show" has been killing it for three seasons now, and has given America things they didn’t know they needed to see, like him and Channing Tatum acting out scripts written by little kids. Before this, he was bringing it on "Weekend Update" with Tina Fey during "Saturday Night Live."
Jimmy has been around the block a few times, and I’ve always kind of had a weird celeb crush on him. He was never exactly “number one," that spot is reserved for Ben Affleck, but I was always low key obsessed with him. You know, like that hot guy in your one class, where all you have in common is that one class, so you just watch them from afar. Maybe that’s just me… Anyway, here are the top 11 reasons why James Thomas “Jimmy” Fallon is your unexpected dream boat.
1. His Humor.
Jimmy definitely gets Millennial humor. His “EW!” skits are dead on, whether you’re 13 and in your parent's basement or in a college apartment. He appeals to the older generations with his impressions, but knows what/who his younger audience wants to see on his show.
2. The Way He Can’t Hold it Together Sometimes.
Oh, Jimmy. If you’ve been watching since his early "SNL" days, we all know Mr. Fallon has a hard time not laughing at his own jokes sometimes (I have the same problem Jimmy…)
3. His Creativity.
Egg Game with Channing Tatum? Singing Adele’s "Hello" with kindergarten toys? His skits are definitely attention-grabbing and are always making headlines.
4. He Gives Back.
Jimmy gives back to the community; after the 9/11 attacks, he and the "SNL" cast really buckled down and helped any way they could. He also donates to the American Heart Association and Stand Up To Cancer.
5. His Musical Talent.
His collaborations with singers like Adele, Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, One Direction, and the "Star Wars" cast have become major YouTube hits. He also has had a huge interest in music since a young age, and he can play guitar.
6. His Famous Friends.
Who wouldn’t want to be best friends with Justin Timberlake? When Jimmy and Justin are together, it’s bound to be something legendary. They’ve got that inseparable bromance that everyone loves. Their inception mugs are the definition of #bestfriendgoals
7. He was on "Saturday Night Live."
Ah, "SNL" Jimmy holds such a special place in my heart. He dreamed of nothing more than being on "SNL." Young, funny, and on his way to the top, I totally watched "Weekend Update" even though I was like 10 and had no idea what was actually going on.
8. He’s Relevant.
Jimmy has taken what he’s learned from "SNL" on how to make hard issues comical. Because of the election, Jimmy has had all the major players in his show, such as Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, and everyone’s favorite (sarcasm implied), Donald Trump. He also does an amazing job of getting the guests that everyone is talking about.
9. He Keeps it Light-Hearted.
Sure, Jimmy has some major issues brought up on his show while interviewing guests, or even in his monologue. He never offends anyone, and somehow manages to turn even the hardest situations into something his audience can laugh at.
10. His Determination is Evident.
Started from the bottom, now we here... Jimmy started in LA just doing comedy clubs, but getting on "SNL" is what truly pushed him to stardom. Now having his own show, Jimmy is for sure to make history with his successes. The only way he can go now is up.
11. He's Hot AF.
I had to save the best point for last. Let’s be real here, everyone, Jimmy Fallon is the guy you want to bring home to mom, but you also know if you got invited to some swanky Hollywood party, you two would have a blast together.
Even if this article didn’t make you fall head over heels for Jimmy (that’s fine, because he’s mine,) you still got to see how cool Mr. Fallon is. He’s bringing back late night for the Millennial generation, and his efforts don’t go unnoticed. Here’s to you, JF!
