Hockey season is officially upon us. Many fans will argue that Hockey is the best sport around. It definitely is.

1. It's not hot.

Three hours in a heavily air conditioned arena means no sweating while you're cheering on your team.

2. They fight.

What other sport allows players to hit each other?

3. The games are unpredictable.

Games are super fast paced and you never know what is going to happen.

4. They poke fun at the other team.

At least once a game you'll see a team making fun of their opponents on the jumbo-tron.

5. The fans are crazy.

Where else would you see someone who has decorated a Captain America costume to match their team's colors?

6. The season is longer.

Regular season lasts from October to April, and playoffs run until June.

7. The Players.

* Heart eyes.*

8. Tickets are cheap.

Most of the time you can get a ticket for $15-$20.

9. The rivalries are serious, but also funny.

One day you may hate them cause you're playing them, but the next you'll love them because it's hockey.

10. Their social media accounts poke fun at each other.

If you ever need any entertainment, just google NHL twitter fueds.

11. The Stanley Cup.

The only trophy where the players will eat cereal out of it, and use it to drink beer.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
