Yes, it's OK to have more than one best friend. Society acts like there has to be only one person that you go to when you need advice on an outfit or a boy or help with your science homework. But it's just not true. It's 100% OK to have more than one BFF; sometimes it's even better!
1. You can have different friends for different reasons.
Sometimes you have a problem that you want advice on, but your one and only BFF either doesn't have experience with what you're going through or simply can't relate. Well, lucky for you, you have your other best friend who you love equally and who went through that last week and is there to help!
2. If you really need some girl time, but your BFF is busy.
People are busy; it's just a fact of life. But if you really need some girl time and your best friend has her little sister's piano recital, that's why you can hang out with your other best friend(s).
3. Your GNOs are legendary.
Just two girls hitting up the town can be fun, but not as fun as you and your 2-3 best friends all going together. And trust me, I can say with experience that it's true that the more girls you have together, the more giggles.
4. Multiple BFFs is better than a 'squad.'
I would define squad as more than 3 girls that are all friends, have a group message, and hang out together. But a squad of BFFs is completely different. You all know each other and tell everyone everything. In a squad, there are a couple of people that you might have some restrictions with telling them things, but not your best friends!
5. Pizzas are cheaper.
It's just simple math. Pizza is cheaper when you split it three or four ways instead of two.
6. You have more clothes to borrow.
If you only have one best friend, that limits you to only each other's closet. But when you have more than one, you have more closets, more styles, and more sizes to choose from.
7. There's more advice to get.
When you have more than one person that you tell everything to, that means that you have more than one person to give you advice on what you're struggling with.
8. There's also more advice to give.
While it's nice to get advice from multiple perspectives, it's also nice to have more people to relate to and help more of your friends with what they're going through.
9. Your group messages are LIT.
If you're texting your BFF about something, it's always fun. But when you are in a group message with all of your best friends, it's always funnier because of everyone's different perspectives and personalities.
10. When there's more of you, you are all more likely to be different.
With multiple best friends, there's more of a chance of different backgrounds and perspectives on life, and this always improves conversations.
11. Simply put, it's just more fun.
I can say for a fact that I've had more fun with my group of best friends than with just one individually. Like I said before; more girls, more giggles.
