Your yearbook is something you expected every year to end up in your lap or in your mailbox, but sometimes little thought goes to those who actually help create it. However, those who did work hard on the book can all relate to these 11 things.
1. Interviewing all the cute jocks and social butterflies
"So how much time do you spend working on the off-season, babe? I mean Gabe!"
2. Gawking at pictures of all the cute jocks and social butterflies.
Oops, look what accidentally just became my screen saver.
3. You loved that no surprise unflattering pictures of you would show up.
But Becky kissed my boyfriend and karma supports my decision to print this (kidding, that never happened... but you had that power).
4. Press passes that allowed you into all clubs and to the sidelines of all sporting events.
"This is so cool! Oh jeez, please please please don't hit me with a ball -- this camera costs more than your purebred dog."
5. The staff went from strangers to best friends to family.
I'm doing everything I can not to cry saying goodbye to my staff at the end of the year.
6. You know a lot of the school gossip before much of the rest of the school
Basically the cheer coach is quitting, but you didn't hear it from me. Unless people are happy about it then you definitely heard it from me.
7. It’s one of the only classes where you could talk to your friends while listening to music on your phone, sipping a vanilla latte.
"So then I accidentally called Gabe babe! Oh, can you hold my drink for a sec? I need to switch this song."
8. You felt like you had so much power knowing the theme for the yearbook a year before everyone else does.
No seriously, this is top secret information.
9. Your note-taking skills drastically improved from your speedwriting during an interview.
How much does a tape recorder cost? Add it to my Christmas list.
10. You learned a whole new language and you didn’t even realize it.
"Yerd." "Colophon." "Mugshot." "Rule of thirds."
