It's the most wonderful time of the year! Finals week! No matter where you are, we're all experiencing the same struggles. Here are just a few of the best things that finals week brings:

1. You get a full eight hours or more of sleep per night.

2. You eat a full, healthy meal three times a day.

3. Your computer never dies.

4. The library is never crowded.

5. The library is open 24 hours a day, all week.

6. There are no parties, so there's no distractions.

7. You never panic.

8. You don't experience any breakdowns.

9. You have yet to run out of campus cash.

10. You exercise more than you study.

11. You always look your best.

Funny, I know. BUT ACTUALLY,

1. You get maybe two to four hours of sleep per night, if you're lucky.

2. You consume more snacks than actual healthy food. Those care packages provide some great snacks that can be eaten anytime and anywhere.

3. If you forget your charger in your room, and you're in the library 'til 2 a.m., you may shed a few tears.

4. You might find some room on the floor of the library. Best advice: go to club lib early in the day, find a good spot, and camp out until the early morning hours.

5. The library tricks you and doesn't open until 11 on Sunday, even though it's finals week. Make sure to pay attention to the temporary finals week schedule.

6. You go out the night dead days start and most likely that Thursday and Friday too, because you think Saturday and Sunday are enough time to study. Test Wednesday? Start studying Monday!

7. You experience a panic attack at least once a day because you can't remember things from four months ago. It's okay to not be okay.

8. The middle of coffee shops are the best place to break down and cry, trust me. Pack extra tissues and study with your friends.

9. You run out of campus cash the Saturday before finals week starts because all you've been buying the last few days was coffee.

10. You think there's no time to go to the rec so you keep studying and think your panicking will help burn extra calories. Working out can actually be one of the best study breaks, though, and I advise you to try it.

11. You never put on make up, and you'll be lucky if you have enough motivation to brush your hair. "Did you wear that shirt yesterday?" "Well, you see, I never went to sleep."

Finals week might be the worst week of the semester, but take a study break here and there. If you see a dog on the side of the road, go pet it. Think of how soon you'll be home and how soon syllabus week will be here!

Happy studying!

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.
