11 Reasons Why You Should Choose Bisou
bisoubymelissa

In need of a haircut or a salon near school? Wax, color, cut, blow-dry? Melissa has it all!

What makes Bisou stand apart from other salons that you may have gone to?

Well...

1. Amaze Location

Not only is Bisou 20 ish minutes from the Beverly area (great for Endicott students), but it is right down the street from the Lynnfield Marketplace. If you happen to be craving Whole Foods' hot deli or need some J.P. Licks Ice cream on your way to your appointment, make a stop at the Marketplace!

2. Always warmly welcomed

Whether you are a hugger or a "Hey girl what's up!?" the second you walk into the shop be sure to be greeted by Melissa and her associates. They always remember your name and care about how you are feeling.

3. Shop the Products!

If you know me, y'all know I always make time for shopping, it's a must. Are you vibing that fresh-cut salon hair on the daily? Well, this is 100% achievable with the available products sold at the shop. From shampoos to hairsprays, the best and most trusted products are sold at the check-in desk. So ladies, skip the average Suave you just bought from CVS and snag the professional goodies. YOU DESERVE IT!!

4. Therapeutic Relaxation a.k.a major #VENTSESH

Rough day at work, have a million and a half papers to write for that Bio class, or are you just feeling stressy? No need to panic because luckily you entered a salon where only gucci vibes are transcended and there is always a chica to chat with during the beauty session! So vent away and forget about the outside world at least for an hour or two.

5. Cheers it up with a drink!

Of course, have a glass of wine...if you are 21! Bisou has an assortment of wines, beers, teas, and coffees for whatever your taste buds may be in the mood for. Oh! Melissa always makes sure her shop is stalked with the most delish chocolates and everyone's fave treats....if I don't end up eating them all.

6. Hair color experts, major #transformationtuesday

Peep my own hair circa 2015....MAJOR TRANSFORMATION. I went from a worn out ombre color to a vibrant Mahogany.

I've stuck with this color since and I am still obsessed!

From red heads to shades of ombre, you name the color and Melissa with transform you to a hot new look that will make heads turn! Better believe her color-mixing skills are ALWAYS on point!

7. Event Artista

Whether you are off to prom and in need of a curly updo or ready to walk down the isle (exciting things!!), Bisou has all the unique and intricate styles you def pinned on Pinterest.

8. All of today's hits

Ok, let's be real...music is ALWAYS a necessity. Pop, alternative, rock, dance, R&B, you name it and it is bound to be played on those loud speakers!

9. Salon design always looking a hundred #100

Antique, chic, sharp, color scheme, organized, clean to perfection, excellent flow, beautiful, could be featured in Better Homes magazine...am I missing anything else?

10. The faces you'll meet

"Hi I'm _______". --- this is the phrase you will most likely say at least once, if not more, as you get to introduce yourself to the chica sitting next to you. The environment is so comfortable that you are bound to start up a convo. Eventually, the entire salon is filled with new hair besties leading to funny smirks, laughs, and those classic "OMG" stories.

11. Melissa "Missy" Macdonald herself

Cheers to this beautifully creative soul Melissa MacDonald. She is more than my cousin, Missy is a role model to not only me but to her son, her clients, and other young women that she encounters. Her salon is a place to let go of all worries and let yourself be treated by stylists who not only care about how well your hair comes out, but they care about you on a social-emotional level as well. This is hard to come by with most salons but Bisou is like no other in the game.

Bisou welcomes walk-ins and scheduled appointments so book today!

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
