One Tree Hill will go down in history as my all time favorite show. It is filled with great music, sports, and relatable relationships. It is filled with unbelievable characters. There is one in particular, though, who is the reason OTH is my favorite show. Although this was a grueling process, I have managed to narrow it down to 11 reasons why Brooke Davis is the best character ever.

11. Brooke is sassy as hell and we all respect her for it. You do you B. Davis.

10.
When Brooke bravely asserted her feminist views. Newsflash world: B. Davis does what she wants and so should you.

9. When Brooke reminded us that everyone has inner demons, but that your inner strength is still stronger...

8. The many, many times that Brooke refused to settle for sh*tty men...

7. Brooke has a past that she is not proud of, but it shaped her into the wonderful human she is now. Brooke reminds us all that everyone struggles, but your past does not define you.

6. Like most of us, Brooke didn't find the love of her life in high school, and that gives everyone who watches OTH hope because apparently everyone else in the show married their high school loves...

5. She has the biggest heart of anyone on the show. She is the best Godmother ever.

4. Brooke went through hell. Her parents abandoned her, then her mom resurfaced just to ruin her company. She went though countless bad relationships, struggled to have a family, and was even attacked at one point. Through it all, she still puts everyone else first. She is the best friend you could ever have.

3. B. Davis dreams big and so should you.

"Do you know what my mother said to me when I told her I wanted to start a company? She said your chances are one in a million. And I said maybe I'm that one, and she said you're not. And she was wrong. Because I am one in a million."

2. When she bravely reminded us of what matters in life...

Peyton: Are you happy, Brooke?
Brooke: Sometimes. Not always. Are you?
Peyton: No.
Brooke: Okay, then let me ask you something. What is gonna make you happy, Peyton? Is it how you look? Or the car you drive or the people you know? Is it money or celebrity or power or accomplishments? Because I have all those things and I don't think it's enough.
Peyton: Well then, what is?
Brooke: Love, I think. And that love can be for a boy or a girl or a place or a way of life or even for a family. But where you find it is up to you. So where are you gonna find that love, Peyton?
Peyton: I think I need to go home.
Brooke: Yeah. I was hoping you'd say that.

1. Finally because Brooke is relatable. Growing up is hard. Life is hard. In the end, we are all just trying to find our place in the world. B. Davis makes you realize that all the little emotions you feel growing up are not unfounded, but completely normal, and that in the end, life is really great.

Thank you, B. Davis for being you and inspiring us all to be half as fierce as you!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
