In case you missed it, on Saturday February 20, 2016, it was 63 degrees here in New Jersey. After all this cold weather and rain and wind and snow, this sure felt like summer. I was so excited I convinced my friends to go to the beach because if it this nice out we have to hit the beach up! Being there made me think of all the things I miss about the summer and the beach. It also made me rethink my decisions since I couldn’t feel my feet for like two hours after attempting to actually get into the water.

1. A trip to the beach = warm weather.

Because who would go to the beach when it is 32 degrees?

2. Warm weather = less clothes.

You don't have to worry about carrying 5 sweatshirts, 1 jacket, 1 coat, a hat, thick socks and gloves anymore!

3. Less clothes = a good tan.

After all these months under all these layers God knows we are all looking hella pale, tbh.

4. Tan = laying still.

You can even take a nap while getting tan. Pretty sure that is the best of both worlds and if you don't like staying still you can build a castle, or a mermaid over your friends.

5. Too much tanning = hit the water.

Of course we all want to look caramel-like but we can’t just do that in one day. So when you feel yourself getting overheated you have a giant pool, aka the ocean, to go in.

6. In the water = a possible water game.

If you are already in the water you might as well start some cool game with your family or friends. Bring a ball and toss it around, or a frisbee, or anything. (Or whatever they are doing).

7. Water games = boogie boards.

I don’t know about you guys but I love seeing those people that kid of surf on the shore with the little surfboards. When they fall I fall because I am laughing to hard and when they don't fall I just wish I was that cool and coordinated.

8. Boogie boards = surfboards.

If you can boogie board maybe you can surf too. Or you can just watch people surf, you can even go rent a surfboard and try it by yourself. (And in my case fail miserably when I actually rented a surfboard and a friend try to tach me how to surf.)

9. Surfboards = running.

I am not really sure where I was going with that statement, but if you like running you can run on the beach! You get to see people and smell the fresh air and the ocean and even cool off in the ocean!

10. Running = frozen custard.

And when you are tired of running and feel like you deserve a reward go get a freaking frozen custard!!! Those things are delicious.

11. Frozen custard + beach = happiness.

The beach, the warmth weather and the sun will make you happy!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
