Spring Break. It's the point in the semester when college kids just need time to relax. So if you're thinking of going somewhere warm, Arizona's got you covered. Everyone always wants to go somewhere fun for Spring Break. Whether you're with friends, family, or a sports team, Arizona is the Spring Break destination. It may not seem like the top spot, but give it a chance; there's so many fantastic things about it.

1. There is never bad weather.

Compared to Florida where it rains almost once a day, Arizona has great weather, all day, every day. The sun feels beautiful on the skin. The difference from Minnesota winter to Arizona is amazing.

2. The heat is dry, not humid.

The heat feels so much better than Florida. There isn't as much moisture in the air. It feels so much better when you're outside somewhere with dry heat.

3. The scenery.

No words can describe the scenery, not even this picture does it justice. It almost hurts looking at the stunning landscape. There are cacti everywhere!

4. The mountains.

Everywhere you look in Arizona you are almost surrounded by mountains. After living in the prairie all my life, the change of environment is refreshing.

5. Baseball spring training games.

Arizona is home to 15 major league teams who do spring training. The Cubs, Rangers, Brewers, Dodgers, and White Sox are some of the teams. Baseball is America's favorite pass time, and it sure is something fun to do.

6. The Grand Canyon.

Arizona is home to this beautiful National Park. There are many scenic outlooks and trails to hike. The sunrises and sunsets are incredible. No pictures can truly depict it's beauty, you just have to see it for yourself.

7. Pools. Everywhere.

Practically every house in Arizona has a pool. You can enjoy laying out by the water or even going for a quick swim. Would you rather have a backyard like this or one with a ice rink?

8. Hiking.

If you love the outdoors, you will love Arizona. There are so many places to go hiking and camping. It's such a thrilling experience to get to the top of mountain and look at the bottom and how far you've come.

9. Plenty of great golf courses around to practice on.

When it's cold all winter, sometimes people just want to go somewhere and golf. Arizona has tons of beautiful golf courses to practice and play on. Not only that, some professionals also live in Arizona.

10. Lake activities.

Despite not touching an ocean, Arizona has many great lakes. Rent a boat to go fishing, skiing, or just to hang out.You can't go wrong spending your time out here.

11. The food.

Arizona is well known for their Mexican food. It's nearly impossible to drive down the road and not see a Mexican restaurant. Plus, who doesn't love rice and beans?

Arizona isn't well known for Spring Break trips, but don't doubt it until you try it. It's a great way to spend a week relaxing. There are so many things to do and you won't get bored. Next vacation you plan, consider going to Arizona. You really can't go wrong!
