Well another year has come and gone, and 2017 is here! It seems that the older I get the faster time goes by, or maybe I'm just more aware that the years are flying. The end of the year always brings the promise of new; new opportunities, new adventures, new people, new chances. It gives the sense that your slate has been wiped clean and you can start over, and I'm a firm believer in that. No, you're not going to become a different person over night, but it gives people a reason and the motivation to make the changes they've wanted to over the year. Here are 11 quotes to give you some reassurance as you journey into 2017.

1.

"Whenever you feel unloved, unimportant, or insecure, remember to whom you belong." - Ephesians 2:19-22

2.

"Perhaps, the problem is not the intensity of your love, but the quality of the people you are loving." - Warsan Shire

3.

"When you have a bad day, a really bad day, try and treat the world better than it treated you." - Patrick Stump

4.

"The world is full of nice people, if you can't find one, be one." - Nishan Panwar

5.

"Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier." - Mother Teresa

6.

"Just keep moving forward and don't give a shit about what anybody thinks. Do what you have to do for you." - Johnny Depp

7.

"There's a few things, about 3 things to my account, that I need each day. One of them is something to look up to, another is something to look forward to, and another is someone to chase." - Matthew McConaughey

8.

"I hope you know you're capable, and brave, and significant, even when it feels like you're not.

9.

"Courage does not always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow." - Mary Anne Radmacher

10.

"Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire."

11.

"I hope you live a life you're proud of. If you find that you are not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again." - F. Scott Fitzgerald

I hope with all my heart that 2017 is your year. I hope you go after everything you want. I hope you discover a little more of yourself. I hope you find the confidence and courage to do what scares you. I hope you find whatever it is you're looking for. I hope your 2017 is filled with amazing and wonderful things.

Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
