Creative Mornings

I have been on fire lately and wanting to make my mark in the world. Here are some quotes that help inspire me. I hope they do the same for you.

1. "You need to go from wanting to change your life to deciding to change your life. If you want to live a life you've never lived, you have to do things you've never done." - Jen Sincero

Quoted from her book, "You are a Badass," Jen Sincero brings on some hardcore inspiration.

Such a true statement on the importance to keep carrying on.

I absolutely love this quote. An eloquent expression of the importance of taking action and not being a bystander.

4. “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be?" - Marianne Williamson

One of the most inspirational quotes of all time.

5. "Change your thoughts, and you change your world." - Norman Vincent Peale

Real change starts with the self and comes from within.

6. “If we wait until we're ready, we'll be waiting for the rest of our lives.” - Lemony Snicket

7. "The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off." - Gloria Steinem

A fiery quote from a fiery woman.

From her book "Why Not Me?" Some of the best confidence advice I have received.

9. "F.E.A.R. has two meanings - Forget everything and run OR Face everything and rise. The choice is yours." - Zig Zigler

You can let it control you, or you can control yourself.

10. "I am no longer accepting the things I cannot change. I am changing the things I cannot accept. " - Angela Davis

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

eye roll

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
