There is just something about reading a good book, but the best thing about reading is coming across a quote and feeling that it was written just for you. Being able to relate to a quote as if it was talking to you directly, thats where the magic from reading comes from. Here are my favorite quotes:

1. "Her books were some of her very best friends." -Unknown.

2. "My will and my desire were turned by love, the love that moves the sun and the other stars." - Dante Alighieri.

3. "And she wept for herself and the changes that had been wrought in her, because sometimes even change for the better felt like a little death." - Cassandra Clare.

4. "You can love someone so much...but you can never love people as much as you can miss them." - John Green.

5. "She reads books as one would breathe air, to fill up and live." -Annie Dillard.

6. "I wish, as well as everybody else, to be perfectly happy; but, like everybody else, it must be in my own way." - Jane Austen.

7. "Dreams are true while they last, and do we not live in dreams?" - Alfred Lord Tennyson.

8. "I can shake off everything as I write; my sorrows disappear, my courage is reborn." -Anne Frank.

9."You will only be as great as the people you surround yourself with, so be brave enough to let go of those who keep bringing you down. You shouldn't force connections with people who constantly make you feel less than amazing." - Unknown.

10. Lord, we know what we are, but know not what we may be." - Hamlet.

11. "I lived in books more than I lived anywhere else." -Neil Gaiman.

I hope that you enjoy these as much as I do!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
