Mia Thermopolis. The average high school girl turned princess overnight, the one who taught us all how to properly say "shut up" and someone we can all still glean wisdom from. Though when I am in the mood for The Princess Diaries (most of the time I'm in the mood) I typically go watch the second movie, so as I was watching Mia fall into fountains while simultaneously falling in love I discovered the many relevant lessons present in this movie, so I'm going to share with you lessons fit for a princess, but they don't just apply to future queens.

1. Journal and Reflect.

Mia begins the movie telling us (well her journal) all that she learned from the years that have passed, as well as what her friends are doing, before she begins her new adventure in Genovia. This kind of reflection is necessary to truly learn from your past, and journaling really helps!

2. Love can literally run into you.

Never allow yourself to close your heart off to new adventure, you never know what you might fall into, or who.

3. Everyone has there not so swell moments.

Every person even, a queen, has moments of failure. But what defines those moment is our response, if the response is positive, that moment is no longer a failure, but a moment to learn... or teach in a queens case.

4. A woman can do anything a man can do.

And we can do it in heels.

5. Love must grow naturally.

There are somethings in this world we can not control, no matter how hard we, or parliament try.

6. Hold on to true friends.

You never know when you're going to need someone who was there for all the original stories, to help you create new ones.

7. We are never done learning.

Our princess lessons never truly stop, life always presents new idea, and ways to learn.

8. Sometimes you just lose it.

...and that's okay. Just feel it. Then learn. Then move on.

9. Never too old to have fun.

The key to never growing up, is never being bored, always search for adventure and fun.

10. Get a significant other who can cook, and look good doing it.

That's pretty self explanatory...

11. Everyone is a princess, or a prince.

You just have to walk the walk, talk the talk, and believe. Everyone has the power to impact their own lives and the lives of those around them; no matter where you are, or where you come from, you already where that crown. Just believe.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
