11 Pop Punk/Rock Bands I Will Forever Obsess Over

1. Artist vs. Poet

I have been obsessed with this band for so long it's not ever funny! I saw them on Warped Tour in like 2010 and since then I can't get over them! They make amazing music and even though they did break up a few years later, I still obsess over their music! Not to mention they are all pretty cute!

2. We The Kings

Once again this is a band I will never get over. I love their music and through their music you can tell they love what they are doing and I love that. I have also seen this band at Warped Tour and on their own tour and I will forever obsess over songs like "Check Yes Juliet" and "Say You Like Me!"

3. All Time Low

No, this is not the song by John Bellion. This is a band that has been around for so long and I love them. I have seen them in concert like 5 or 6 times and every I start to love them more! They were probably the first band I really feel in love with, and once again, they are all pretty good looking!

4. Blink-182

Literally everyone knows Blink-182 and if you don't , you must live under a rock. Unfortunately, I have not had the privilege to see them in concert, but it will happen before I die! I love the songs they write and I can always jam to them no matter the mood!

5. Forever the Sickest Kids

Wow do I love these guys. They such great music that you just can't help to sing to! I have seen them on Warped Tour and I have also met them! They are an amazing group of guys who really love what they do and you can definitely see that when they perform!

6. Mayday Parade

This is band is absolutely amazing. Even though I have never seen them in concert, I would love to! There is just something about their music that I just can't get over. They are fun but also at times sad. They have a song for every emotional situation and I love that!

7. The Maine

I have seen these guys so many times I can't even remember! They are one of those bands you can see 20 times and each show is completely different. They are amazing guys in person too! I have met them twice and both times they were just the best!

8. Simple Plan

Once again if you don't know this band they you must live under a rock. Yes, they are so what of an older band, but I still jam to them in the car all the time. I have seen them in concert once and they were great and I would definitely see them again if given the chance! They write songs that you can easily relate to and I love that!

9. Never Shout Never

Holy crap do I love this guy! He is amazing at what he does and he has a voice like I have never heard! I have seen him in concert like 6 times and every time I fan girl so hard I look ridiculous. Yes, the singer can be a little weird at times, but I think that is why I love him so much!

10. The Summer Set

I obsess over these guys a little too much. Their music is so relatable and just so fun you can't help but smile when listening to them! I have seen them in concert once and met the lead singer once and unfortunately he wasn't very nice, but that is okay, he might have been having an off day. We all do!

11. The Ready Set

This guy some how seems to stay under the radar and that is not okay. He makes such great music that is so fun and upbeat, and it's nearly impossible to not dance along to it! If you remember the song "Love Like Woe" then you know this guy. I have seen him in concert twice and met him once and he was the nicest guy I have ever met!

If you haven't heard of some of these bands, that needs to change! I guarantee when you listen to them, you will become obsessed just like me! They are all amazing artists and they all make music that is easily relatable. I will never stop listening to these bands, and I'm sure when you start you won't be able to stop either!

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
