Those were the days.

Millennial Underground

Greetings. If you're like me, the 1990s were a quintessential part of your childhood. Even though some of the trends were -- let's be honest -- shudder-worthy, it was still a good era, chock full of sweet, sweet childhood memories.

Wanna take a trip down memory lane? Here are 11 items guaranteed to bring back that good old 90s nostalgia in you.

1. The VHS Tape

Remember these bad boys?

2. Nickelodeon Cartoons

Ah, who could forget those classics? Hey, Arnold!; Rugrats; Catdog; etc... The list goes on and on.

3. Willy Wonka Candy

If that wasn't the bomb.com, I don't know what was...

4. Vintage Disney Channel

My personal favorite, *sniff* who else misses these shows? I (for one) DO!! OK, so this is not all-inclusive and some of these are a little after the 90s, but let's be honest -- did the 90s really end before 2005? I didn't think so.

5. Boy Bands

Let's be honest: we all secretly loved them, even if we didn't want to admit it. Also, I bet you're singing along to this one right now in your head. You're welcome.

6. Snap Bracelets

This was mainly a girl trend, but I bet every one of us remembers seeing these. The fun bonus was snapping it over your wrist just to watch it curl up, providing hours of fun entertainment.

7. Cassette Tapes

Here's another one of our handy-dandy technological wonders from the 90s. CDs? Psssh. What were you, rich? And let's not forget the fun of a tape that lost all its insides and messed up. Good times.

8. Beanie Babies

Any collectors here? Don't be embarrassed -- we all bought into the fad. Nowadays, some of those plushies might be worth a pretty penny, too,

9. The Skip-It

All the cool kids had them. If fortune smiled upon you, maybe you got to borrow someone else's at recess.

10. Platform Flip-Flops

Alright, so nowadays we realize what a monstrosity these were, but back then they were the shoes every girl wanted to have. Why? Because they were "cool."

11. Fanny Packs

Come on, we can't forget this gem. In terms of practicality, fanny packs were not a bad idea. Still, look at them... don't they bring back some memories?

Ah, the 90s, you were good to us -- metaphorically speaking. Even though there were a lot of, shall we say, questionable trends in this decade, we can't deny the fond nostalgia it brings us, and for that, we will be eternally grateful -- and hopefully a little wiser for it.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
