I want to study for finals as little as the next person. Studying is one of those things where starting it is the absolute hardest part of it all. Fortunately, there are many useful tools in this day and age to help even the laziest student get motivated. One thing that always makes me want to crack open my notes (or at least guilts me into doing it) are the studyblr accounts on Tumblr and Instagram. These accounts are run by high school and college students who often have impeccable handwriting and organization skills, with color-coded notes and gorgeous desks with plants or other decorations on them. Seeing these accounts post photos of their study setups always makes me want to get a head start on my work (or makes me want to just scroll through more of their pretty photos for hours on end.)

1. This wonderfully organized and geometric workspace:

2. This bullet journal which makes me want to go out and buy a Moleskin right now:

3. These biology notes that make you happy for some strange, strange reason:

4. This color coding that makes you want to run to Staples:

5. All these review sheets that hurt my hand just from looking at them:

6. This physics window that seems like it could only be the work of a true genius (with style):

7. These chapter overviews that definitely aren't missing even a drop of information:

8. This pretty desk setup that puts my dorm room desk to shame:

9. This all-purple-everything daily schedule that leaves no purple-stone unturned:

10. This quaint little study space that seems like the perfect place:

11. This bullet journal spread that will absolutely keep you on track with your assignments:

Whether you love to make your notes all nice and organized as these studyblrs do, or you stick to good old-fashioned notes, these are sure to motivate you to pick up your notes and start studying. Good luck with your finals!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
