Newport, Rhode Island is known for it's rich history, great restaurants, beautiful beaches, and the Cliff Walk. The Cliff Walk is a 3.5-mile stretch of shoreline that highlights the natural beauty of the ocean and passes by many of the beautiful mansions once owned by the giants of the Gilded Age.

On any given day the Cliff Walk is full of people enjoying the weather and the view. Here are a few that you'll probably run into.

1. The Serious Runner

While you're strolling along taking in the picturesque ocean view, these athletic men and women are narrowly avoiding running straight into you.

2. The Supermom

Diaper Bag? Check. Stroller? Check. Three children running around uncontrollably near the edge of a cliff? Check.

3. The Surfer

Whether it's 76 degrees or 36 degrees, if the sun is shining you can bet they'll be in the water.

4. The Dog Walker

What's short, furry, has four legs and floppy ears? Only the best part of your day. If you're lucky you'll always see at least two dogs swimming in the water and running up to people as they make their way down the cliff walk.

5. The Cute Elderly Couple

They hold hands, walk slowly and carefully, and take frequent breaks. They're also totally adorable and give you serious relationship goals.

6. The Tourists

Often traveling in herds, these groups come armed with millions of questions and an uncanny ability to get lost on a path that only goes in two directions.

7. The Overdressed Couple

This is the couple that just went to a nice dinner downtown and thought they'd check out the cliff walk while they had time. What seemed like a great idea soon turns into a world of pain as girls realize that their four-inch heels aren't exactly the best footwear for a rocky, muddy path.

8. The Cliff Jumpers

When the weather is warm you'll see locals and students leaping off the rocks into the refreshing water below. Is this completely safe? No. But is it fun? Yes.

9. The Professional Photographer

Whether it be a photo shoot for a wedding or just pictures of the beautiful scenery, these professionals are there with a camera bigger than your head to capture it all.

10. The Instagram Photographer

Sunsets. Sunsets everywhere.

11. The Salve Student

The cliff walk is right on the edge of campus, which means you'll always see some students from Salve Regina taking a walk or doing homework on it. However, these innocent students often fall prey to tourists who mistake them for tour guides. (No. It is not the Breakers, it's Ochre Court. Please stop asking.)

So the next time you're taking a walk keep your eyes peeled for these eleven people.

Christmas Tree

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
