Twins. Everyone assumes they are the same person and that being a twin defines their entire life. However, this is not the case. Having an identical twin myself, I have gotten used to the questions, the confusion of who I am and being called "twin" more than my own name. Here are 11 common questions that twins get asked daily:

1. "Are y'all twins?"

My favorite response is "We actually met when we came to college." It gets them every time.

2. "Which one are you?"

They never know and never will. You're also used to answering to the other's name, just as confidently as it is your own.

3. "How can I tell y'all apart?"

That moment when you have your response memorized like lines in a play. "I have freckles and Emily (my sister) doesn't. Emily is empty of freckles."

4. "Who's older?"

My sister's older by a whole two minutes and boy, does she love holding that over my head.

5. "Is it ok if I call you 'twin'?"

If I had a dime for every time I was called "twin" instead of my own name, I would be rich. Yes, together we are twins, but I am my own person with my own name.

6. "Is twin telepathy real?"

Yes, because being connected mentally with your sibling totally makes sense. Just because we shared a womb doesn't mean we share a mind.

7. "Have you ever switched places?"

One of the many benefits of being a twin is playing jokes on people. Switching is a must.

8. "Why don't y'all match?"

Do you enjoy matching with your sibling? Matching takes away your individuality and forces you into the stereotype. Twins are still individuals, no matter how hard people try to group them as one.

9. "Who is the better twin?"

An age-old question. Will there ever be an answer? Tip: Don't ask unless you want to ignite a debate.

10. "Are y'all best friends?"

Duhh! Perks of having a twin is having a built-in bestie! There is no better bond than the bond between twins.

11. "Do y'all fight?"

Cue "Human" by Christina Perri. Though we may be besties, it is hard to get along with someone 100% of the time!

Although getting confused for each other and all the questions can get repetitive, having an identical twin is truly amazing. You were literally born with a built-in best friend and I couldn't be anymore thankful for mine!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
