Netflix has become a staple in the the lives of many people today. It's the perfect way to spend the day binge-watching or discovering new shows.

What if I were to tell you that I got Netflix solely for the documentaries. I know, I know, I have reached the epitome of nerdy. But what can I say? I love to learn. Most people cringe at the word "documentary" and expect it to be boring. But I am here to tell you that you are wrong. Here are the best Netflix documentaries you need to add to your watch list, right now!

1. "Teenage" (2013).

The documentary "Teenage" looks into how teens have been rebelling since before the word "teenager" was introduced into our vocabulary. Look into different diaries from the 20th century and learn how we got to the place we are now.

2. "The Sixties" (2014).

CNN is most wellknown for their biased broadcasting, but in this series they give you the cold, hard facts. Everything from the JFK assassination, to Vietnam, to Woodstock, this series has it all, and is incredibly well done.

3. "Manson's Missing Victims" (2008).

This documentary looks deep into how the Manson family murdered more people than we may think. Forensic anthropologists and cadaver dogs revisit the site of the Manson ranch in search of missing victims.

4. "The Hunting Ground" (2014).

This documentary has raised a lot of talk in the past two years as it talks of rape and injustice on college campuses.

5. "Genocide" (1981).

I have been interested in the subject of genocide since I was young (that sounds morbid writing this). Due to this, I have watched many films and read many books on the topic. No documentary compares to the masterpiece "Genocide,"narrated by Orson Welles and Elizabeth Taylor. Incredible footage and first witness accounts will leave you speechless.

Even if you're not interested in this subject, I insist you watch this. It is important to see.

6. "Food Inc" (2008).

In high school alone, I have watched this documentary three times. Three. I guess teachers really like it because it makes you really think about what is on your plate and where it comes from. Take a look inside the food industry as it exposes how cruel it is to animals and our bodies, as we take in genetically modified foods.

Some scenes may not be suitable for all viewers.

7. "Brave Miss World" (2013).

1998 Miss World, Linor Abargli was raped two months before being crowned queen. She takes her tragedy to help other victims work up the courage to speak out against their rapists.

8. "Alive Inside" (2014).

This documentary shows the power of music and its positive affect on Alzheimer's patients.

9. "Killer Legends" (2014).

Learn the true crimes that inspired some of the today's urban legends and myths. Not sure how this was rated 2/5 stars on Netflix. It's amazing.

10. "Hitler's Children" (2011).

Meet the children of history's most notorious Nazis, and how they struggle with the fact that their families participated in one of history's darkest moments.

11. "Steal a Pencil For Me" (2007).

This couple meets and writes letters to each other while both in a concentration camp. And most girls can't even get a text back.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.

One Book Made Me Question Existence In Its Entirety

"The Stranger" by Albert Campus touches upon many heavy elements... but not in the way you expect. Although it touches upon the aspects of death and love, it also deals with a hidden philosophy similar to that of nihilism.

The story follows the short life events of Meursault, a Frenchman whose carelessness for his actions eventually ends him in jail and dependent on a jury of people to judge the ethicality of his decision and the punishment that he deserves. He eventually gets the death penalty and all throughout he is nonchalant and almost apathetic towards his situation. He finally snaps when the prison sends a priest to him to absolve him of his sins and to cajole him in confessing to the lord.
