Working retail in general can be a pain. During my breaks from school, I normally spend seven days every week working between two different retail positions. So, to express this experience I am currently engulfed in, I have decided to use the cult classic, "Office Space" to describe moments relatable to anyone who lives the retail life.
1.) When you have to go through your annual review
2. When the beeping of the registers get to you-- so you start fantasizing.
3. When your friends ask why you still work retail
4. When you haven't had a day off in two weeks
5. When you are ringing someone out and they stare at you as if they are expecting you to mess up
6. When you get sick of the repetitive questions like "working hard, or hardly working"-- so you start becoming blunt.
7. When a customer asks you a personal question
8. When a customer tells you something you already know, but you're polite so you go along with it.
9. When you have to work with that coworker who never has a bad day
10. When you don't have to come in until the late afternoon
11. When by some miracle you finally get a day off
