There are a few moments that every person experiences when they work in retail. While there are perks, (such as the nice discounts), there are also quite a few times when the employee may say, "what is wrong with the world?" Those are the moments that I've decided to make a compilation of today.
1. The moment when a customer decides to reorganize for you.
So much wasted time.
2. When you can't help the prices, but customers think you can.
Please leave.
3. The moment when closing lasts for an extra 30 minutes.
Again, please leave.
4. When you laugh at a rude customer because you're awkward.
Or is this just me?
5. When you must be polite and cheery, but there is A SCREAMING CHILD.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
6. The wonderful moment when you're done for the day.
The best feeling.
7. When people can't cope with the fact that you are an employee.
"You look too young to work here!"
8. When a customer actually cares.
At least someone cares.
9. Promising in your interview that you know how to work retail.
This was such a good first work experience.
10. And then they ask you questions like this:
At least hopefully gone.
11. Knowing that your paycheck will be worth the pain.
Dolla dolla bills, y'all!
