Kirk Gleason has always been an inspiration. He is full of wise words and crazy antics. He may be called the town fool, but he actually has some pretty great advice hidden beneath the surface. This one is for you, Kirk. You've taught us so many things throughout the course of "Gilmore Girls," and the lessons below are just the tip of the iceberg.

1. Expressive dance is creepy.

When Kirk rushed onto the stage to preform this amazing dance, my hopes were sky high. And Kirk totally delivered. However, expressive dance is not in my top ten favorite things. It's probably one of my least favorite things, to be honest...

2. Wait on your Lulu.

Kirk and Lulu showed the world that love at first sight for everyone really does exists. It doesn't matter who you are or how crazy a town thinks you are. Love is possible. #Goals

3. Explore your job interests.

It doesn't matter if you are 15 or 35, it is always okay to explore your job interests. Maybe you want to expand your interest or grow your portfolio. Either way, Kirk never gave up, and neither should you.

4. Don't let the haters get you down.

Everyone in Stars Hallow has put down Kirk at least once, but that has never stopped him from being who he is.

5. It's okay to live with your mom.

No shame. I love my mom. I'd live with her for forever. I probably would have dates at home, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't live there.

6. If you're having nightmares, don't sleep naked.

If you're prone to night terrors, just sleep fully clothed. You wouldn't want your neighbors finding you naked on your rooftop in the morning.

7. We're all naturals at falling.

Gravity does not help my clumsiness. I trip and fall all the time. We're all prone to gravity and its intensity. But the cool thing is, is that it's okay to fall down as long as you get back up.

8. Be careful when you're wearing someone else's pants.

Always be cautious when wearing other people's clothing.

9. Always be precise.

Wording is everything. The words might be synonyms, but word choice still matters.

10. It's okay to not work well under pressure.

Take a deep breath and step back. Reevaluate. Then go tackle the project.

11. You should probs go to the gym.

Instead of a juice diet maybe you should just go to the gym...or just get that gym glow.

Thank you, Kirk, for all of the craziness you brought to one of my favorite shows. You have shown us that you can always be yourself no matter what the circumstance. It's okay to be different, and it's okay to not fit into a certain mold. We're supposed to be our own people. So for that Kirk, we thank you.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
