This Christmas movie goes to show that no matter how hard you try, you can never truly escape the holiday season. Whether or not you trying to evade the holidays is your neighbor's business is an unfavored opinion. But, the fact is the season is meant to be merry and bright, and we should hold our loved ones extra close in this time of giving, no matter how infuriating Christmas tasks may seem. Here are some things we've learned from "Christmas with the Kranks."

1. Don't try to put up roof decorations by yourself. And, be nice to Frosty.

2. If you absolutely have to steal your neighbor's Christmas tree, don't use a little red wagon to do so.

3. If you send your daughter to Peru in the Peace Corps, she will come back with a Peruvian fiance.

4. Always keep an umbrella in your car. Always.

5. If you get Botox, don't try to eat peaches.

6. If you do decide not to celebrate Christmas, it is OK to proceed with your usual donations.

7. Do your Christmas meal shopping early ... very early.

8. Everyone acts crazy during the holidays. It's OK to stand up to your neighbors, and carry out your holiday season the way you want.

9. There are safer ways to deal with unwanted carolers and your neighbor's pets.

10. Avoid tanning during the winter. You will look strange, especially to your priest.

11. Enjoy every Christmas with your loved ones, no matter how you feel about the season, because you never know when it may be your last. Cherish the memories - the good, bad, and the crazy.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
