Say what you will about her glitter, raunchy concerts, and that dollar sign in her name that bothers you for some reason you can’t exactly pinpoint, but you can’t deny Ke$ha can write one heck of a song. And so, in honor of her recent triumph against her abusive manager, here’s a #ke$haappreciation post chock full of lyrics that relate to your everyday life, even you didn’t wake up feeling like P-Diddy this morning.

“Gonna die young.”

When you’re late to class, so you take fate into your own hands, j-walk across the street, and play real life frogger.

“Go, go, go, go insane, go insane. Throw some glitter, make it rain on 'em.”

When you get the email that your only class the next morning is cancelled and you can’t help but want to go out and take advantage of your newly cleared schedule.

“There’s a place downtown, where the freaks all come around.”

That once late night pizza place that was the worst pepperoni but the best people watching.

“And now we lookin' like pimps.”

The feeling after walking into a party and not immediately getting stared at because no one recognizes you.

“You're my object of affection, My drug of choice, my sick obsession.”

Sums up your feelings towards Chick-fil-A. ‘Nough said.

"Why won't you call me? I'm sitting here waiting. Why won't you call me?”

When your bank account is at negative $3 and your mom refuses to call you back and transfer money to you.”

“Welcome to my Funeral. Without you I don't even have a pulse. All alone it's dark and cold. With every move I die.”

The feeling you get when your siblings are all on Netflix and there’s too many screens in use and you get locked out of the account.

“I'm dancing with tears in my eyes.”

When you go out with your friends on a Thursday night and realize while dancing that you’re missing the newest episode of Grey’s Anatomy.

“I'm talking pedicure on our toes toes. Trying on all our clothes clothes.”

The overwhelming process of creating ready to go out when your room becomes a tornado of clothes, makeup, music, bags of chips, hair ties, and who knows what else.

“I'm sick and tired of the mess you made me. Never gonna catch me cry.”

What you want to say to your professors during finals week when you find yourself in the library at 3 a.m. after not showering for three days and downing four cups of coffee.

“I'm in love, alright. With my crazy, beautiful life.”

And finally, when you take a second to look around and realized just how #blessed you are.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads.
