There is nothing more eye-wretchingly terrifying and awful than job interviews. From the moment you walk in the door, you feel like you're being judged. And that's because you are being judged on virtually everything- your handshake, your accent, what you're wearing. It's like being in the middle school cafeteria all over again. While you try to wipe sweat creeping through your blazer, prepare yourself with these eleven questions that give everyone extreme anxiety during a job interview.
1. "So, tell me a little bit about yourself."
I'm poor and I need a job. Oh god, am I sweating?
2. "Why would you like to work here?"
Because I'm poor and I need a job. I mean, because i'm passionate about frozen yogurt.
3. "Can you tell me about your relevant experience?"
This is an unpaid internship. Please calm down.
4. "What do you think you can bring to our workplace?"
Is "crippling depression" a correct answer?
5. "What's your biggest weakness?"
THERE IS NO CORRECT ANSWER TO THIS.
6. "What's your biggest strength?"
THERE IS ALSO NO CORRECT ANSWER TO THIS ONE.
7. "You said on your resume that you can speak Japanese. Can you..."
Don't lie, kids.
8. "Tell me about an instance where you failed or did something you are ashamed of."
Well, we can start with the last five minutes of my life...
9. "Have you ever been fired? If so, why?"
Forget number seven. Lie your brains out, kids.
10. "How do you explain the gaps in your resume?"
I don't know. I honestly, in my soul, do not know.
11. "Tell me about a time that a coworker was unfair to you."
Ok this one isn't as bad. I tell my therapist these every day.
