Making impulsive decisions isn't always a bad things, but it's not necessarily a great idea either. Girls, and women alike, are the queens of making decisions on the whim, putting little to no thought into the logistics. But it's more fun that way, sometimes. Here are 11 impulsive decisions that many of us have made, at least once.

1. Dying our hair

I don't care if your 13, 30 or 85, dying our hair is a decision that's made on the whim more times than not. Unfortunately, it doesn't always turn out the color we intended but hey, there's always next time and besides, the purple is kind of growing on you anyway.

2. Getting a piercing

Whether it's going to have it done professionally or asking your best friend to gently shove a needle through your ear, getting another piercing is never a bad idea.

3. Online shopping

We're poor. We're in college and we have no money to spend. But does that stop us from shopping the sales that never end? No.

4. Deciding to be an artist

We haven't painted or tried being artsy, aside from our Instagram feed, in a very long time. But we woke up this morning and decided it was a day to become the latest Picasso, too bad our sunset turn out like a thunderstorm.

5. Ending a relationship

This is a very rash decision that can blow up in our faces, it's an impulsive decision though so we just called up our latest bf and told him he should see other people because we're going out with the girls in an hour.

6. It's 2 A.M., we should send that text

This never ends up pretty. Phones should automatically shut off after midnight because nothing good ever comes out of impulsively texting anyone at 2 A.M. Might as well have chugged a bottle of wine because our decision making skills go right out the window once we're laying in bed looking at our phone screens... "Hey, I've liked you for a long time but never had the nerve to tell you." Girl, put the phone down and go to sleep.

7. Today is not the day

Most days we wake up and realize all of our obligations are awaiting our actions but then other days we wake up and make the decision to roll over and not put pants on all day. What can you do, today was just not the day to deal with life.

8. Baking

Baking makes us happy and sounds like a wonderful idea until we're 30 minutes in and realize we're baking 12 different things and now our hour of making yummy treats just turned into seven hours of yummy treats. Ooops. Guess we're not doing anything productive today either,

9. Going on a run

Have mercy! How did we used to be so athletic and now we get winded running to the fridge during commercials. But regardless we decided a run would be a good idea and now we're on the verge of dying and our body aches like we're 103 years old.

10. Making a Tinder

Remember that boyfriend we dump a little bit ago? Well he's off seeing other people now and we're home on Friday night sitting in our sweat pants. We need to get back in the game, what better way to hoist yourself onto a guy's radar than advertising your hottest selfies with a cute bio that says your into the outdoorsy activities and rescuing puppies on the weekends.

11. Getting a tattoo

Just don't get it on your forehead or somewhere completely visible to your parents. We'll tell them about the piercing first and try to ease them into it. Sorry, not sorry.

All of these impulsive decisions have the potential to be life altering but that doesn't mean the next time we do it we're going to put anymore thought into it.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
