If you're a 90's baby, you probably grew up watching some ~iconic~ television shows. A show that was one of my personal favorites was the Nickelodeon hit "The Amanda Show," which starred Amanda Bynes and featured many other rising stars like Drake Bell and Josh Peck— who obviously later starred in their own hit show "Drake and Josh."

The show began in 1999 and sadly ended a few years later in 2002, which left some 90's kids (aka me) severely hurt that my favorite show would no longer be on the air. "The Amanda Show" was a staple for any 90's kid looking for some prime entertainment.

Here's a breakdown of some of the best skits from "The Amanda Show" that are still iconic today:

1. "Judge Trudy"

Little did we know that this would prepare us for watching the real life ridiculous cases of Judge Judy. We also learned a staple closing statement from this skit that is used as Instagram captions, graduation caps, and closing words in speeches: "Court dismissed, bring in the Dancing Lobsters!"

2. "Moody's Point"

As "General Hospital" was to our moms, "Moody's Point" was to us. Would Moody's mom ever get down from that balloon? Or what about the fate of her dad's toe? Also, who is the real Moody? You can watch all seven episodes on YouTube, if you have an hour to spare.

3. "Blockblister"

This is a throwback in such a way that the children of today will never know this was based off of Blockbuster—R.I.P. to our favorite movie rental spot. Remember that one time where the guy ripped his arm off? Same.

4. "Totally Kyle"

A 90's girl's first crush: Drake Bell in a blonde wig.

5. "A Hillbilly Moment"

This was probably the simplest skit in the show, but it made knock-knock jokes so easy to come up with. You can't tell me it wasn't even a little funny seeing Drake get hit in the head with random objects.

6. "Penelope Taynt"

Penelope was the one who taught 90's kids how to stalk a celebrity. She didn't have the social media luxuries that we have today, but she did create the official "Amanda Please!" website, which was unfortunately taken down by Nickelodeon— Why must you hurt us this way?

7. "Amanda's Jacuzzi"

Although this was probably one of the shorter skits, it was always an interesting one. Remember when she had the Queen of England in the jacuzzi? Legendary. I hope all of those guests enjoyed their plate of spaghetti.

8. "Mr. Old Man"

"YOU HAVE THE WRONG NUMBER!" You'd be lying if you said you didn't read that in his voice.

9. "Crazy Courtney"

Whenever one of your parents yelled at you to do something, odds are you yelled "MAH HAH" at them...then did what they asked because you were not on "The Amanda Show". But you did probably have those gawd-awful fake teeth.

10. "So You Wanna Win Five Dollars"

This skit made you feel really smart, comparatively speaking. Sometimes, it was hard no to yell the right answer at your television.

11. "The Girls' Room"

If only the girl's bathroom was this glamorous. Thanks to our home girl Debbie, every time we eat an egg, we can't help but think of her signature quote: "I like eggs!"

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
