11 Iconic Beatles Anthems

John, Paul, George, and Ringo. The Fab Four. One of the most beloved pop/rock bands of all time, with over a billion units of music sold and fifteen number-one albums. They are arguably the best band of all time, and are cherished across all generations. While they have many popular number-one songs, there are some that are emblematic of their values.

1. "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band/With a Little Help from my Friends"

The costumes for Sergeant Pepper's are iconic, and the lead-in, with Billy Shears singing "With a Little Help from my Friends" is a smooth and wonderful transition.

2. "Eleanor Rigby"

Who doesn't love a good ballad? The tragedies that are Eleanor Rigby's and Father McKenzie's lives are so sad, but at the same time help us to realize the people in our lives who we might overlook, and brings a messages of awareness.

3. "Ob-la-di, Ob-la-da"

In nonsense, the Beatles encapsulate a positive motto, that life goes on, and the song has a wonderful, peppy beat that you cannot help but sing along to.

4. "Come Together"

The Beatles know how to bring people together, and assert that only by collaboration will anything be achieved. Their motto stands to this day, in a day where social justice is important, like in the late 1960s.

5. "I Want to Hold Your Hand"

Everyone loves someone who just wants to treat a girl respectfully, and who is not afraid to hold another's hand. This song helped girls around the world become afflicted with "Beatlemania."

6. "All You Need is Love"

The counterculture movement of the 1960s was all about loving one another: an ideal which we still aspire to in 2015. This song is beautiful and is a wonderful meaning to which we should all aspire to attain.

7. "Yellow Submarine"

No one fully knows what this song is about, and this tune made people wonder why the Beatles would voluntarily live in a yellow submarine, but it is definitely a notable hit!

8. "Eight Days a Week"

Besides the creative title, this song has a sweet message. Saying that they love someone eight days a week, and that it is not enough, is an adorable message, and contributed to fans' fascination with the band.

9. "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds"

Everyone has differing interpretations of the meaning of this song, but it is definitely one of the most famous later Beatles tracks. Many people think that this song has to do with hallucinogenic drugs, but it is a catchy tune.

10. "Can't Buy Me Love"

Another cute, romantic song, "Can't Buy Me Love" tells of someone who does not care about material goods, but states that love is the true meaning of life.

11. "We Can Work It Out"

In the theme of peace, the Beatles definitely speak the truth when they say that no matter what the dispute may be about, there is always a way to work any one out.

While there are numerous amazing Beatles anthems, these are some that are iconic and have meaning for all listeners.
