Disney World will always have a special place in my heart. I love the idea of being able to discover magic all over the parks. Disney truly makes me feel like a kid again. Throughout the parks and resorts, though, there are things that many guests do not know about that are definitely hidden gems. Disney is more than just a theme park with rides, there are many ways to make memories without breaking the bank. Here are some of my personal favorites:
1. S'Mores with Chip and Dale
Every night at 8:00 p.m. guests can got to Fort Wilderness for a campfire sing-along with Chip and Dale. Best of all, It's free!
2. Club Cool
Club Cool is located inside Disney’s Epcot near Innovations West. This soda shop is sponsored by Coca-Cola and offers free samples of soft drinks from around the world.
3. Sci-Fi Drive-In Theater Restaurant
This is a restaurant located in Disney's Hollywood's Studios. The restaurant is a 1950s themed drive-in. You have lunch or dinner inside a classic car shaped booth that will take you and your family back in time to a 1950s drive-in theater. There will be car hop attendants ready to take your order and a large screen playing reels of vintage sci-fi clips.
4. Watching Wishes from the Polynesian Resort beach
Grab a Dole Whip sit in the and and watch the magic happen over Cinderella's Castle.
5. A Kiss Goodnight
A Kiss Goodnight signifies the closing of Magic Kingdom. It happens approximately 20 to 30 minutes after the park closes. Cinderella Castle will begin to twinkle and go through a cycles of color, accompanied by the familiar voice of the park narrator thanking you for visiting the Magic Kingdom and then wishing you all the best as the park officially goes to sleep and offers the lucky guests who remain this formal kiss goodnight.
6. Tangled Inspired Restroom Area
Inside of Magic Kingdom there is a specific area in which is themed like "Tangled". There a lanterns all above along with painting inside of the bathrooms. There is also Rapunzel's tower along with hidden Pascal's and charging ports.
7. One Man's Dream
This is one of my personal favorites. It is an air conditioned area located in Hollywood Studios. This is an exhibit about Walt Disney, where guests can learn everything they wish about Walt's dream for The Walt Disney Company and how it came about. There are also things pertaining to Walt's early life and the early stages of the company. The exhibit features models of Disney Land Paris and Tokyo.
8. Magic Kingdom Rope Drop
Before the parks open, when many guests are still sleeping, the rope drop at the Magic Kingdom takes place. Throughout the rope drop, Disney characters and Main Street dancers give the early rising guests who are waiting outside the park a show. This happens before the mayor of Main Street comes out and the rope is dropped to officially open the park.
9. Coral Reef Restaurant
Dine in Epcot under an aquarium like setting. There are real sea animals swimming above you as you eat.
10. Snorkel with Sharks and Sting Rays
At Typhoon Lagoon, guests are able to snorkel across a lagoon filled with sharks and sting rays. This is included into the admission of the water park.
11. Biergarten Restaurant
This restaurant is located in Epcot's Germany. It is a buffet styled dinner or lunch that has authentic German food. There are times when there is a German band plays which makes the night untouchable. Seriously amazing.
