We all have our favorite quotes from our favorite TV shows. Little do we know, we can actually learn a thing or two from these quotes. "Grey's Anatomy" is always a fan favorite. There is romance, drama, doctors, and lifelong friendships. What more could you want? Grey's is known for the quotes in the show, but could we maybe learn something from these quotes?

Here's a few quotes that taught us a thing or two:

1. "At some point, you have to make a decision. Boundaries don't keep other people out, they fence you in. Life is messy. That's how we're made. So you can waste your life drawing lines, or you can live your life crossing them."- Meredith Grey

2. "I guess we can't really complain about karma. It's not unfair. It's not unexpected. It just evens the score. And even when we're about to do something we know will probably tempt karma to bite us in the ass, well, it goes without saying, we do it anyway." -George O'Malley

3. "The truth is painful. Deep down, nobody wants to hear it, especially when it hits close to home. Sometimes we tell the truth because the truth is all we have to give. Sometimes we tell the truth because we need to say it out loud to hear it for ourselves. And sometimes we tell the truth because we can't help ourselves. And sometimes we tell them because we owe them that much." -Meredith Grey

4. "It's good to be scared. It means you still have something to lose." -Richard Webber

5. "You never know the biggest day of your life is going to be the biggest. The days you think are going to be the big ones, they are never as big as you make them out to be in your head. It's the regular days, the ones that start out normal. Those are the days that end up being the biggest." -Izzie Stevens

6. "I want you to promise me something: If you love someone, you tell them, even if you're scared it's not the right thing, even if you're scared it will cause problems, even if you're scared it will burn your life to the ground. You say it, and you say it loud." -Mark Sloan

7. "There's something about the possibility of more: more tequila, more love, more anything. More is better." -Meredith Grey

8. "If I murdered someone, she's the person I'd call to help me drag the corpse across the living room floor. She's my person." -Cristina Yang

9. "It's a beautiful day to save lives" -Derek Shepherd

10. "I think it's important to take the time to tell the people you love how much you love them while they can hear you." -Meredith Grey

11. "Just when we think we've figured things out, the universe throws us a curveball. So we have to improvise. We find happiness in unexpected places. We find our way back to the things that matter the most. The universe is funny that way; sometimes it just has a way of making sure we wind up exactly where we belong." -Meredith Grey

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead.
