We can all agree that the 90s were a great decade. From the music and television to the toys the 90s was possibly the best decade. For those of us who grew up in the 90s know just how great the toys were. Here are 11 toys all 90s kids will remember and would still play with today.
1. Bop It
The original Bop It was the most stressful and anxiety causing game of the 90s, and yet we all loved it. With three commands bop it, twist it, and pull it this toy would bring excitement for hours. After this, the bop got a lot more complicated and frustrating as if this one wasn’t enough to keep up with.
2. The Game Boy
Before Nintendo came up with all those new small handheld games, there was the original big, fat, grey Game Boy. This Game Boy was simple and fun. It ran on actual batteries, unlike today's handheld games. The Original Game Boy is what all the cool kids had. Whenever a child got a chance whether on a bus, car ride or just sitting around the house, they were playing their Game Boy. The only thing is it didn't have a back-light so you had to have the lights on to play.
3. The Hoberman Sphere
The Hoberman Sphere or the expanding star was a very simple toy that you could play with for hours. There wasn't a lot you could do with it. Basically, all you could do was open and close it, and yet this provided us 90s kids with enough entertainment to make us beyond happy.
4. Perfection
Perfection was possibly the best board game you could have. It was great for only children because you didn't need anyone else to play. The object of the game was to put all the pieces in their respected spots and stop the timer before time ran out and the board popped up, sending pieces flying everywhere. this what the type of game that required speed and precision. one of the greatest board games to date.
5. Poo-Chi
Poo-Chi was the greatest pet anyone could ever ask for.These mechanical dogs were a great alternative to not having a real dog. Everyone had a Poo-Chi. Poo-Chi was small and mechanical and yet we all loved our Poo-Chi as if it were real.
6. Slap Bracelets
No matter is you were a boy or a girl young or old, everyone had slap bracelets. You were not cool if you didn't have a slap bracelet. No one had just one everyone had like a sleeve of slap bracelets that they would take off and slap back on. It didn't matter if it was cute or ugly as long as you could slap it on it was okay.
7. Socker Boppers
Socker Boppers was a way for your parents to let you fight your siblings without getting hurt. There was a point in time when you couldn't turn on the TV without hearing the Socker Boppers song "More fun than a pillow fight!" Socker Boppers was the end of pillow fights. No need for a pillow fight if you had Socker Boppers
8. Tamagotchi
Everyone had a Tamagotchi pet. Tamagotchi was a small game with three buttons. The object of the game was to keep your pet alive, which seemed almost impossible. I remember I had a new pet almost every day because they kept dying. Even though it was impossible to keep your pet alive we all still loved Tamagotchi.
9. Troll Dolls
Troll dolls were the creepiest yet most adorable little creatures. I remember for the longest time I was afraid of them. My sister had some and she loved them. She would brush their hair and play with them. I thought they were creepy, but I was outnumbered. These creepy little beasts were one of the most popular toys of the 90s.
10. Viewmaster
The Viewmaster was the toy of the 90s. Kids everywhere were so fascinated by it. You put these film strip type things into the viewmaster and you look through it felt like you were there. It was the 90s version of Imax. it was so simple and yet it blew everyone's mind.
11. YoYo Ball
The YoYo Ball was the greatest invention for those of us who didn't know how to actually YoYo. The YoYo Ball was a YoYo that would come back up automatically all you had to do was throw it down.There weren't as many tricks you could do with a YoYo Ball as a regular YoYo, but most of us were just happy we could finally YoYo.
