In an ever-growing world of social media, everyone follows so many accounts from fitness inspirations to celebrities to friends to food Instagrammers. With the wide range of photos that can be seen on your Instagram feed in a day, there are still some that stand out amongst all the rest: the food bloggers. We know we all follow at least one and drool over ridiculous combinations and wish we had their jobs to eat for free a lot of the time. Here's my countdown of the best food Instagrammers you'll definitely want to be following.
(WARNING: You will be hungry by the end (or even middle) of this post and will soon be "that person" Instagramming your own food to show off to your followers.)
11. Everything Bagels
Who doesn't like bagels? Only evil people in my opinion. Everything Bagels is the best account to follow for all my bagel lovers out there. Bacon, Egg, and Cheese? CHECK. Bagel and lox? CHECK. Rainbow bagels? CHECK. Pizza Bagel? CHECK. If there's a bagel involved they've got it, so follow them for some great new ideas of ways to prepare your everything bagel, and get your schmear on.10. Grilled Cheese Social
One of the great things about Grilled Cheese Social is that it's run by chef, Mackenzie Smith, so you'll also get some yummy recipe ideas. She's not only a chef and food Instagrammer, but she also runs the Grilled Cheese Social blog where you can find plenty of recipes including a whole section of grilled cheese recipes, so what more could you want. Get your cheese fix from her account as well as tons of other scrumptious food from mostly Florida, but also all of her beautiful vacation spots.
9. Food Nom
Created by a college student, Sarah Kim, Food Nom displays all the food you crave and shows that college students really can still eat great food. From tacos to eggs benedict to donuts you've got it all. Most food is from the Denver and Chicago area, but there is also a bunch from Europe and other various locations. Find some food inspiration and get your nom on!
8. District Foodies
With D.C. being such an international city with a lot to offer it only makes sense that they have some great food Instagrammers out there, but District Foodies takes the cake (and the steak frites and the gyro). There's an array of sweet food and savory dishes and a plethora of international food. If you're ever going to the D.C. area go follow their account and find unique and excellent restaurants to try.7. Food in the Air
While they do have amazing photos of all types of food, they feature a lot of international food, so it's just not as attainable that you can actually try the food without becoming a globetrotter. Food in the Air though is great to feel like you are traveling all over just eating decadent food when in actuality you're sitting on the couch in pajamas from the night before eating mac and cheese from a box (trust me, we've all been there).6. Devour Power
This Instagram team is made up of a Greg Remmey, a neurophysiologist, and Rebecca West, a model, who recently "quit [their] day jobs to eat full-time," as their bio on Devour Power states. Based in New York city, they have found a great following and have more than doubled in size since last April! From pizza boxes made of pizza to the best-looking tacos to steaming bowls of ramen, they've got you covered. Seeing all these pictures will make you want to pick up and move to NYC immediately with an empty stomach and big dreams.5. Daily Food Feed
L.A. based Instagrammer, Jed Cartojano, has captured all your "NSFW gluttony" into one account on Daily Food Feed. With so much variety of food in Southern California, Jed has somehow been able to find the cream of the crop that real people are going to eat. Feast your eyes upon crab and lobster grilled cheeses, Korean bbq you cook at your table, and churros galore. Now you'll be making even more excuses to move out to California than you were before.
4. Hungry Betches
For the artist and perfectionist inside you, the appealing aesthetic of Hungry Betches feed will draw you in right away if the name hasn't already. Everything looks so much better when held by a manicured hand up against a plain background right? With over 332,000 followers they are clearly doing something right with the over the top desserts often featured. Betch and moan about the calories in these foods, but we all know you're secretly salivating.3. Infatuation
The best thing about the Infatuation accounts is that they have at least 26 different accounts for all over the world. Ranging from San Francisco to London everyone can find an account that works for them. They also claim that they have "no free meals, no invites, just unfiltered opinions" so you know you're getting truthful thoughts about all the food featured, which is great in a world full of paid opinions nowadays. Check out their website for restaurant reviews for great recommendations for any occasion.
2. Spoon University
Like Odyssey, Spoon University, is focused around millennials and their eating habits. They have over 50 individual accounts for different colleges and communities where students post real food they eat and even make sometimes. As a college student, I know the struggle of eating ramen and easy mac, but Spoon University proves you can still eat well while getting your degree.
